yuko's diary 4/28/25

Monday.

I woke up little after 5.

I baked rye bread, and did laundry.

I started shokupan, and went outside.

Dan came home when I was weeding.

We talked for a while, and I started mowing.

New blade is great.

I was driving carefully not to hit rocks.

I had my counseling at 10.

As Dan was sleeping, I did it inside car.

I cleared things I’ve been thinking and it was great.

I ate banana, rye bread and cream cheese for lunch.

Then I had nap besides him, for two hours.

Dan could sleep five hours straight.

I took care of the dough, and started working on dinner.

Tofu steak, red cabbage salad, arugula and tomato salad, and brown rice.

As he was awake, I could cook without being quiet.

We ate early dinner.

Dan went back to bed, so I went outside.

I did weedwacking and then some more weeding.

It was cool and nice outside.

Saige came running to me from back and I was startled.

Dan slept for 2 or 3 more hours.

I baked my bread.

We watched baseball.

Dan sends me haiku during his graveyard, and so we call them graveyard haiku.

When you think the world is sleeping, some are awake.

Things are happening.

I did my workout and went to bed.

月曜日。

5時すぎに目が覚めた。

ライ麦パンを焼いて、洗濯を回す。

食パンを仕込んで、お庭へ。

草引きをしていたら夫帰宅。

少しおしゃべりして、わたしは芝刈り。

新しい刃はきれいに刈れる。

石を巻き込まないようにいつもより気をつけて運転した。

10時から月一のカウンセリング。

夫が寝ていたので、車の中で行う。

ここしばらく気になっていたことについて話せてとても良かった。

バナナとライ麦パンとでクリームチーズで簡単にお昼。

それから夫の横でわたしもお昼寝した。

2時間くらい寝ただろうか。

夫は5時間ほどまとまって眠れたらしい。

食パンのお世話をして、夜ご飯に取り掛かる。

いつもの豆腐ステーキ、紫キャベツのナムル、ルッコラとミニトマトのサラダと発芽玄米のご飯。

夫が起きていたので気兼ねなく料理できた。

少し早いけれどそのまま食べる。

夫はまた横になって寝ていたので、わたしはお庭へ。

小型の草刈機で芝刈り機が入れないところや家の周りなどをきれいにする。

曇っていて涼しいので、その後も草引きを続行。

2、3時間ほど外にいたかも。

しゃがんで作業していたら、セージが走ってきて後ろから飛びついてきたのでものすごくびっくりした。

夫はまた眠れたようでとても良かった。

食パンを焼く。

野球を見たり、準備をしたり。

夫が勤務中に俳句を作って送ってくれるのだけど、それは graveyards haiku と呼ぶことにした。

（英語のスラングで夜勤のことを graveyard 墓場シフトと言う）

夜中の独特の雰囲気ってあるな。

今日の終わりと思っている時間も、世界は動いているし、いろんなことが起こっている。

ワークアウトをしてから寝る。
