Thursday.

I worked at Brewster today.

We left house early.

As we had a big gap in the middle of the day, I went for a long walk.

At the high school, they were having plant sale.

I wanted to buy something, but they only got flowers that I don’t really care.

I read my book a lot.

In the begging the translator wrote a short note about Gwangju Uprising, and how the author who’s from Gwangju wrote about it.

It was helpful.

Her style is so strong, even though she’s describing terror, I couldn’t stop it.

Also I agree with that a soul of a boy started talking like old man.

My soul is also very old.

I got on the first bus and then waited in the library.

It was empty, and I sat on my favorite sofa.

Back home, it was 6.

I ate quick dinner, and rested while before did my workout.

I was so sleepy.

It’s the weekend!

木曜日。

今日はブリュースターへ。

早起きして出かける。

今日もお昼に大きな空きがあったので、ランチの後歩きに出る。

高校のグリーンハウスで、苗のセールをやっていて覗く。

高校生がたくさんいて、買ってあげたかったけれど、ペチュニアとか、あまり興味のないお花ばかりで買わずに出る。

午後も読書が捗った。

翻訳者のノートが初めにあって、光州事件と、光州出身のハン・ガンがそれをどう描いたかについてざっと書かれていて、それがとてもよかった。

ハン・ガンの文章はやはり強い。

ものすごい場面を描いているのに、うっとなりつつも引き込まれる。

少年の魂が、大人の口調で話し出すのに、すごく納得した。

わたしの魂も年寄りだと思う。

3時のバスに乗って、図書館へ。

めずらしく誰もいなくて、お気に入りのソファで静かに本を読んだ。

家に着いたら6時過ぎ。

さっと晩ごはんにして、少し休んでからワークアウト。

もうその後は眠くて仕方がなかった。

明日は週末だ。
