Dan said he’ll wake up when the woodpecker knocks the house.
And he did.
It was little past 6:30.
It is like those crock with fake bird.
Coffee, jam toast.
All I need to do is watering the garden.
First I watered by hand, then switched to the sprinkler.
It got warm so quick, so I moved to the front yard.
Dan was busy all day from organizing the mobile home, shopping,
washing his car and applying wax.
It was the first time in last 20 years to wash his car, he says.
He spent lots of time polishing it.
We had sandwiches for lunch.
After took nap, I watered the garden once more.
It should be enough.
According to the weather forecast, it will be raining when we come back.
Also, it won’t be too sunny.... I really hope so.
Then we check the route together.
I was nervous all day, but this is usual for me.
Whenever I need to leave the place, I have this feeling that the place is holding me back.
I made ramen for dinner.
Oh, Dan put plastic cover over the spot where woodpecker always come.

明日はやることがたくさんあるので、キツツキが来たら起きる、と言って寝た夫、
ちゃんと起きた。６時半過ぎ。
鳥のカラクリ時計みたい。
コーヒー、ジャムトースト。
さて、今日のわたしのミッションはとにかく水やり。
まずホースで撒いたあと、スプリンクラーに切り替えてたっぷりあげる。
どんどん気温が上がっていくので、
午後は前庭の芝に水撒き。
夫はモバイルホームの片付け、買い出し、
それから洗車とワックスがけ。
洗車をするのは２０年ぶりらしい。
ニューヨークでは車なかったもんね。
ワックスがけにすごく時間をかけていた。
お昼は簡単に買ってきたサンドイッチ。
午後少しお昼寝し、起きてからもう一度お庭の水やり。
これで大丈夫なはず。
天気予報が当たれば、帰ってくる日に雨。
気温は上がるけれど、雲も出るみたい。
当たりますように。
あとは荷造りして、ルートを夫と確認して。
どこかへ出かける前はいつもそうだけれど、どきどきする。
引き剥がされるような感覚があってふしぎ。
夜は具沢山ラーメン。
でかけている間のキツツキ予防に、ビニールを貼っておいたけれどどうかなぁ。
