Wednesday.

I worked at the usual hospital.

It started slow, and I expected to go slow, but then had an add-on in the end.

I went for a walk after lunch.

I stopped at the library and returned “The Vegetarian” by Han Kang.

Then picked up my hold which is “Human Acts” by Han Kang.

I am not sure why they picked this title.

The original title in Korean means “A Boy is Coming”

Japanese title followed it.

Hm.

I stopped at co-op and walked home.

When I got close to home, my neighbor stopped me.

He told me he wants to buy Dan’s car.

I told him that he loves that car so much, there is no chance.

Anyway, we bonded over being minority in this area.

And that was nice.

Back home, I ate quick dinner.

I made tomorrow’s sandwich.

Then went out to the garden.

I transplanted some herb and asian greens which grew too quickly.

I wish it will survive.

By the time I was done watering, the sun was setting.

Dan wrote a long letter for my birthday, and it was so sweet.

I did my workout and that’s it.

I read little bit, but had to go to sleep.

水曜日。

今日もいつもの病院で仕事。

ゆっくり始まって、そのままゆっくり終わるのかと思ったら、最後で追加。

お昼の後に歩きに出る。

図書館によって、ハン・ガンの本を返して、届いていた別のハン・ガンの本を受け取った。

『少年が来る』

なぜか英語のタイトルは”Human Acts” 人間の行い？

韓国語のタイトルに近い“A Boy is Coming” とかにしなかったのはなんでだろう。

最後のバタバタを終えて、コープに寄って歩いて帰る。

家の近くで、近所の人に声をかけられる。

一度、ガレージセールをしている時に話したことがある人。

お宅の車を買いたいのだけど、と。

夫はあの車を溺愛してるので多分無理だと思うよ、と言いながらちょっとおしゃべりした。

アフリカ系アメリカ人の人で、マイノリティ同士だと盛り上がった。

電話番号を交換して別れる。

帰宅してさっと晩ごはん。

明日のサンドイッチをつくっておく。

それからお庭へ。

植え替えをする。

暖かくなってあっという間に育ってしまった、水菜、青梗菜などの青菜とハーブ。

ひょろっと細いので心配だ。

ここから数日気温が下がる間に根付いてくれたらいいけれど。

水やりをして終えたらもう日が暮れる時間だった。

夫がわたしの誕生日に手紙をくれて、それがとてもよかった。

じっくり読む。

ワークアウトをして終わり。

おふとんに入って本を少し読んだけれど、その後すぐに電気を消した。
