yuko's diary 4/2/25

Wednesday.

I went for work again.

It was sunny but the wind was chilly.

It all went well, and we had an ER add-on.

The patient was Spanish speaker, and my colleague asked them if they are cold.

And they say no.

When I brought them back, a nurse asked how did it go, and they said “poquito frio”

I wanted to say, “we asked you!” But no idea how, so I just said “poquito frio??”

We could for a walk several times.

The school is in spring break, so we went up and walked around laps.

You can see the sky so well up here.

We saw a rainy cloud is coming so went back before rain.

I could read a lot.

It said that school is very similar to jail.

And I agree.

I remember feeling uncomfortable but just obeyed.

Because I didn’t want to make trouble, but also, I was too lazy to think deeper.

I need to think by myself.

I was done by 4, and Dan came to pick me up.

My colleague gave us a dozen of eggs so Dan made carbonara.

We don’t eat much eggs, but when we have, we love it.

My workout was core.

This one is not hard, but my thighs are still sore, and that made it hard.

We watched baseball.

It was Ohtani bobblehead day, and he hit sayonara home run.

He always cease those moment, and that’s why he’s popular.

水曜日。

今日もお仕事。

いい天気だけど昨日より風が冷たい。

スムーズに進んでERの追加もこなす。

スペイン語オンリーの患者さん、ブランケットはいらないと言っていたのに、送って行ったら看護師さんに、”poquito frio” （ちょっと寒かった）と言っていた。

え、何回も聞きましたよね？と言いたかったけれど、なんて言うのかわからないので、”poquito frio??” と繰り返しておいた。

何回か歩きに出かける。

学校は春休みなので、トラックを3周した。

ここは空がよく見える。

きれいに晴れている空と、山の上には雨雲。春の天気だな。

雨雲が町に降りてくる前に戻った。

読書も進めた。

学校は刑務所に似ている、という部分にヒヤリとする。

確かにそうだな、そしてそれに違和感を持ちながら従っていたなと思う。

場を乱したくないから、なんとなくそうしてしまうことがあって、それは確かに平和的かもしれないけれど、正直、めんどくさくてそうしてる部分もあると思う。

しっかり見て感じていきたい。

4時に上がって帰宅。

同僚が家で採れた卵をくれたので、夫がカルボナーラをつくってくれた。

卵の値段が上がっているけれど、わたしたちは卵なしでもあまり構わない。

でもあるとやっぱりうれしい。

家で採れた卵はさらにうれしい。

ワークアウトはコア。

これはキツくない。でもまだ太ももが筋肉痛なのできつい。

野球を観る。

ドジャース球場では、大谷選手のbobblehead (頭が揺れる人形)を配っている日で、サヨナラホームランを打ってとても盛り上がった。

いざという時にちゃんと持っていく部分が人気の理由なんだと思う。
