Sunday.
We slept late today too.
I guess we were tired from the very relaxing trip?
Coffee, toast.
I did laundry.
Dan went for shopping and got my solo cups which I use for pots.
I made holes at bottom with drill.
Then potted up sweet peppers.
I brought onions out.
The sun was out, but the wind was cold.
Saige was out already.
I cut more weeds to make mulch.
The oats are growing dairy.
They grow through old mulch and that is so cute.
I found the first muscari (grape hyacinth.)
The very first flower.
Dan made ham sandwich for lunch.
His favorite, simple sandwich: ham, pickles, and mustard.
Rye bread if you can.
It is very good.
We watched day game, rested well.
The coldness made us tired.
We didn’t fight hard against it.
Dan made simple tomato pasta for dinner.
A great long weekend.

今日もゆっくり寝た。
なんにもしなかった旅けれど、疲れてたのかな。
コーヒー、トースト。
洗濯機を回す。
夫が買い出しに行って、鉢の代わりにしているプラスチックのカップを買ってきてくれた。
ドリルで穴を開けていく。
さっそくペッパー類を鉢上げ。
今日もタマネギを外に出す。
太陽は出ているものの、風が強くて肌寒い。
セージは朝からうろうろしている。
今日も枯れ葉を刈ってマルチにする作業。
麦は日に日に育っている。
マルチを押し上げて生えてきている様子がかわいい。
ムスカリがひとつだけ咲いていた。今年の花、第一号。
お昼は夫がつくってくれたハムサンドイッチ。
お気に入りだけあってとてもおいしい。
厚切りのハム、ピクルス、マスタードだけのシンプルなサンド。
今日はベーグルだったけれど、ライ麦パンがあればそれがベストらしい。
野球のデイゲームを見たり、休みながら過ごす。
寒いからか、二人ともなんだか疲れている。
春の気候だろう。
無理せずたっぷり休んだ。
夜は夫がシンプルなトマトパスタをつくってくれた。
ああ、よい連休だった。
