Sunday.

It was my birthday.

Dan took a day off.

It was a beautiful day.

I woke up early and ate yogurt.

I did laundry and went outside.

The irrigation water is on, and so I watered whole garden and trees.

I gave fish fertilizer to those fruiting trees.

I found that deer ate my baby lettuce. Hmmm.

Dan made my birthday lunch.

He cooked pork loin that he bought at Trader’s Joe’s and cooked broccoli, and roasted potatoes.

He cleaned the table and made a beautiful setting.

We ate it with sun tea.

Very good.

Then we hanged the hammocks that I had to put away because of rain.

And took some nap on it.

In the afternoon, I helped Dan with his artwork.

I gathered old photos I took.

I like his work.

While Dan was writing I went out to do weeding.

For dinner, he made cuban sandwiches with leftover pork.

Very good.

We watched baseball highlights and took it easy at night.

Very nice weekend.

日曜日。

今日はわたしの誕生日で、夫は休みを取った。

朝からいい天気。

なぜか早く目が覚めて、ヨーグルトを食べる。

洗濯を回してからお庭へ。

用水路が開いたので、ホースをつなげて水やり。

ここから半年は水やりの日々だ。

実をつける木には、月一の魚の肥料をやっていく。

お庭にシカの足跡。

レタスを食べられた〜。むむ。

シカの季節でもある。

お昼は夫がつくってくれたご馳走。

トレーダーズ・ジョーで買ってきた豚肉を焼いて、ブロッコリーを炒め、ローストポテトもつくってくれた。

テーブルの上もきれいにセッティングされていて、最高だった。

太陽の光で水出しした、サン・ティーと一緒にいただく。

おいしい。

それから雨で片付けてあったハンモックを吊って、しばし揺れる。

少しうとうとした。

午後は夫の作品関連のことでお手伝い。

古い写真を整理したり。

やっぱり夫の作品が好きだなと思う。

夫が書き物をしている間に草引きをしたりして、のんびりした午後。

夜はお昼の残りで夫がサンドイッチをつくってくれた。

ポーク、ピクルスとマヨネーズで、キューバ風サンドイッチ。

おいしい。

夜は野球のハイライトを見たりして過ごす。

のんびりして良い誕生日だった。
