The wood pecker woke me up on my birthday.
It was before 7.
The light was so beautiful, and I went outside.
Something is weird.
The grass was white?
Then I realized it was the frost.
The temperature was not that low, so I didn’t expected this at all.
I made short video if you want to see what I saw.
Coffee.
And Dan made me bagel, eggs, avocado, kimchi.
All things I love.
Because of the rain, I don’t need to water them today.
Also I wasn’t planning to work on birthday,
but I ended up transplanting onion out.
They were still thin, just like strings, but it might work.
If so, I will plant out more.
We had nap, and had a short walk around our property.
The frost melted soon, and the wind was blowing, but the sun was warm.
Dan was not feeling well.
So we took easy in the afternoon.
I chatted with my friends.
It was quiet, but beautiful birthday.
誕生日もキツツキの音で起こされる。
いい天気だなと思って外に出る。
と、なにかが変。一面白っぽい。
よく見たら一面霜が降りているのだった。

そこまで気温は下がっていなかったので予想してなかった。

それから夫がベーグルと、目玉焼き、アボカド、キムチの朝ごはんをつくってくれた。
好きなものばかり！！
しっかり降ったので、水やりはしなくていいし、
誕生日だしなにもしなーいと思っていたけれど、
結局、玉ねぎを少しお庭に植え替えてみた。
まだ、太い紐くらいの太さなんだけど、なんとなくそろそろかな、と。
うまくいきそうなら追加するつもり。
夫とお昼寝したり、お散歩したりしてのんびり過ごす。
霜はすぐに溶けたし、風はあったけれど、日差しが暖かかった。
夫は午後からあまり調子がよくなく、
あとは休みながら。
わたしはお友達とチャットしたり、なぜかその流れで「大阪で生まれた女」を聞いて笑っていた。
静かだけど、たのしい誕生日でした。
