yuko's diary 4/17/26

Friday.

I woke up 6:30 and got ready, checked house, and left at 8:30.

We traveled down to Federal way.

It’s 4 hours and half from home.

I drove first two hours.

That part is straight and quiet, and we know well.

Then I switched and be a navigator.

Although I made mistake I managed to recover quick and led us to new pass.

It was 1:30 when we finally made it.

With two breaks, 5 hours in total.

We went to Katsu burger and ate katsu burger.

It was volumy but I ate whole, and surprised myself and Dan.

Then we went to Daiso, Japanese three coins store.

Everything was fun, and explained to Dan is fun.

And we went to Trader’s Joe.

It was a big nostalgia for us and most of prices were same.

We bought things there too.

We checked in to a hotel nearby and took a break.

We went for a walk, and waited until we are hungry.

It was already 7, so we went to ramen spot anyway.

It was crowded and very good.

We fell asleep watching baseball, around 9.

But then woke up in middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep for while.

金曜日。

6時半に起きて用意し、戸締りして、8時半に出発。

シアトルの少し南の、フェデラル・ウェイという街へ。

車で4時間半。前半2時間はわたしが運転する。

まっすぐの高速で、よく知っている道なので気楽に運転できた。

そこから交代して、ナビ役に徹する。

初っ端からミスしたけれど、なんとか切り替えりして、今回初めて通る道へ。

なんとか着いたら1時半、休憩も入れて5時間で到着。

カツバーガーという名前のお店でカツバーガーを食べる。

すごく大きいのに、お腹が空いていてペロリと食べて自分でもびっくりした。

それからモールの中にある、ダイソーに寄る。

あれこれ夫に説明して回る。

その後、トレーダーズ・ジョーへ。

NYでは定期で買い物していたお店で、懐かしい商品がたくさんある。

値段もほぼそのままで、思わず買い物した。

ああ、楽しい。

それからすぐ近くのホテルへ。

しばらくのんびりしてから散歩に出る。

お腹が空くのを待っていたら7時になったので、すぐそこのラーメン屋さんへ。

つけ麺が推しらしいので頼んだら、もちもちの麺でおいしい。

今日は食べすぎた〜！

移動すると食べちゃうな。

野球を見ながら、9時には寝たけれど、その後夜中に起きてしばらく寝付けなかった。
