Monday.
It was raining hard.
Dan left for work.
Coffee, yogurt and banana.
I did laundry and took shower.
Off to the ceramic studio.
It took me 30 minutes to get there.
There were many cars outside, and so I thought it was her class,
but all of them were for the nursery next door.
I unloaded the kiln, and Concetta started loading the kiln.
I cleaned all bowls, and thought about glazing today, but decided to do on Thursday.
She drove me home.
I ate leftover rice and tofu.
Took some rest.
Those goji berry trees looked sad, so I potted up with bamboo sticks.
Also potted up indigo plants.
They look fine.
While I was working on porch, Saige came in the rain.
I gave her last bits of biscuits and showed her empty box.
Hope she understood me.
They say it might rain tomorrow too.
So I decided to sow some seeds.
Clover, kale, and carrots.
Found baby asparagus in the garden.
Wow! It survived winter!
I made rice and curry with vegetables I got.
Also used all sweet peppers which I grew, cut and put in the freezer last fall
Back outside, and did some weeding.
Dan came home and we had some rest together.
Then had dinner watching baseball.
We watched Mae Martin’s Netflix special.
Mae, who is nonbinary, reluctantly talked about those comedians who talks about trans people on Netflix.
I really like the way they talked.
For some reason, we stayed up late.
月曜日。
しっかりした雨の朝。
夫は仕事。
コーヒー、ヨーグルトとバナナ。
先に洗濯機を回してからお風呂。
着替えて出発。
今日は素焼きの窯出しにスタジオまで歩いていく。
30分くらいかかる。
車がたくさん停まっているので、陶芸教室のクラスかなと思ったら、お隣の園芸店が忙しくしているのだった。
さっと窯出しして、すぐにコンチェッタが窯詰めする。
ホコリを拭き取って、きれいにする。
今日釉薬をかけようかと思ったけれど、やめておいた。
ブッククラブに入らないかと誘われる。
日本でもあるんだろうか、定期的に集まって、読んできた本について語る会。
月1回で、400ページ以下の本限定らしく、それなら読めるかなと思う。
ちょうど窯詰めが終わって帰るところのコンチェッタに家まで送ってもらって帰宅。
次は木曜日。
昨日の残りのごはんと豆腐を食べて一服。
クコの木たちがなんだか元気がなくなってきていたので鉢上げする。
支えも追加。
空いた鉢に藍も植え替え。こちらは元気そう。
ポーチで作業していたらセージが来た。
雨なのに。
ビスケットがカケラしかのこっていなかった。
もう終わりよ、と空の箱を見せたけれど伝わったかな。
明日もまた降るかもということだったので、
小雨になった時を見計らって外へ。
あちこちにクローバーの種を蒔いたり、ケール、ニンジンの種をすこし足した。
アスパラガスの小さいのが芽を出していた！
よくみるといくつも出ている。
わー、寒い冬を乗り越えてくれてありがとう。
手元にある野菜でカレーをつくる。
去年採ってカットしてから冷凍しておいたパプリカをざっと使う。
また外に出て、草引きをしていたら夫が帰宅。
今日は誕生日にあげたシャツを着ていてとても似合っていた。
しばらく休んでからごはん。
野球を見たりする。
メイ・マーティンのスタンダップコメディを見る。
ネットフリックスでコメディアンがショーをやるときに、主にトランスジェンダーのことについて問題発言をすることが続いていた。
ノンバイナリーのメイはそのことに言及。
強い言葉ではなく、話したくないけれど、と話す姿勢は誠実に感じられた。
でも本当は当事者以外が意見すべきことなんだと思う。
なんだか夜更かししてしまう。
あー、明日仕事なのにな。
