Saturday.
We woke up at ten.
Feels like home.
Coffee, toast.
It was cloudy outside.
I changed and worked inside sun house.
Potted up tomatoes and eggplants.
I took onions out for harding.
The came out.
I went out to check my garden.
The wind blew mulch away.
Some oats are germinated.
It will be living mulch.
Dan was trying to take photo of me and Saige.
She understood and came by my side, and then went to Dan.
She was happy.
Dan made salad pasta for late lunch.
We finished bison steak from the restaurant.
Apparently, we don’t eat much.
We are having lots of ants.
Today I found lots of them eating candy cane from last Christmas.
It’s somehow better than having ants attack on the third floor of Brooklyn apartment.
We had a nap, and worked again in the evening.
I cut some old weeds and used as mulch.
Dan was painting the house.
I made dumplings and rice for dinner.
With marinated red cabbage and sautéed paprika.
That was great.
We watched old SNL skit about Trump.
土曜日。しっかり眠って10時過ぎに起きる。
うーん、家に戻ってきた感じがする。
コーヒー、トースト。
外は曇り。
着替えてまずサンハウスでトマトとナスの鉢上げ。
タマネギを外に出してみる。
少しずつ陽が出てきた。
外にでてお庭の様子を観察。
風が強くて、葉っぱのマルチが吹き飛ばされているところも。
オーツ麦があちこちで発芽していた。
このまま育ってくれれば、マルチの代わりになる。
夫がセージとわたしの写真を撮ろうとしていて、
ちゃんと呼ばれたところに行くセージ。
遊んでもらえてうれしそうだった。
遅いお昼は夫がつくってくれたパスタサラダ。
レストランの残りのバイソンステーキと付け合わせの野菜を入れて。
これでようやくたべきった。
わたしたちはたぶん少食なんだろうと思う。
アリは冬の間もいたけれど、どんどん増えてきた。
今日はクリスマスの時のキャンディにたかっていたので全て捨てて掃除機をかける。
ブルックリンのアパートの3階でも大量発生することがあったから、それよりは気分がましかもしれない。
少しお昼寝して、夕方また外へ。
枯れ葉を刈ってマルチをつくる。
夫は外壁を塗っていた
夜ご飯はギョウザ丼。
紫キャベツのナムル、パプリカの金平と。
なかなかおいしい。
