Sunday.
I woke up late.
Coffee, yogurt and banana.
It was sunny day.
And easter, but that doesn’t mean anything to me.
I went out and continue working on rows.
I would loved to try non-dig garden, but I can’t afford so much compost.
For now, I just try to improve the soil with cover crops and native flower.
There are so much big round rocks in our yard.
If you dug little deep, you ended up with lots of rocks.
Today, I found a huge one.
First I dug around it, and then with Dan’s help, we pull up little and put other small rocks under it.
Slowly pulling it out of the hole, and we did it.
It was the biggest ever that we dug out.
Dan finished his row, and so we planted seed potatoes there.
We brought out hose and watered with city water.
No irrigation water yet.
We were so tired.
Had to eat salami sandwich and lay down a bit.
I decided to make more kimchi, so cut the rest of daikon.
Then we went to the park to play basketball.
It was sunny and nice, there are many people in the park.
While we were playing, 3 young men came and started playing in the other basket.
We played well, and for an hour.
Back home, I finished kimchi.
Then we decided to defrost organic turkey ground meat.
We made loco moco with it.
I made rice, and patties and Dan made fried egg.
It was little different from beef ones, but still good.
We finished the last episode, and went to bed early.
I am thinking to buy the original book.
Hmm.
It was a beautiful weekend.
日曜日。
ゆっくり起きる。
コーヒー、ヨーグルトとバナナ。
今日は快晴！
イースターだけど、わたしにとっては普通の日曜日。
外に出て、昨日の続きを。
畝の整理は時間がかかる。
耕さずに、上に上にコンポストや土を被せていく方法もあるし、その方が土の中の生態系を壊さないからいいのだろうと思う。
ただ、自家製のコンポストでは足りないから、大量に購入しないといけなくなるのが難しいところ。
今はカバークロップや、ネイティブフラワーの力を借りて少しずつ改良している。
できることから。
わたしたちの土地はもともと川底だったようで、少し深く掘れば、角の取れた大きめの石がゴロゴロ出てくる。
今日は岩といっていいくらいのものを掘り当ててしまった。
発掘作業のように周りを掘って、ちょうど出てきた夫と協力して穴から出す。
てこの原理を使いつつ、少し持ち上げては、下に大きめの石を入れていく。
そうやって少しずつ持ち上げて、最後はふたりで引きずり出した。ふー。
今までで一番大きな岩！まんまるで孫悟空でも入っていそう。
夫の畝が完成したので、種イモを植える。
畝の両サイドに、間をとって、お店で買った種イモと、芽が出た古いイモを植えていく。
ホースを持ってきて、水道水で水やり。
まだ畑用の水は出ていない。
しっかり働いて疲れた～。
サラミサンドイッチを食べて、しばらく休憩。
ダイコンの上半分がまだ残っていたので、サイコロ切りして干しておく。
それからバスケをしにいく。
今日は公園へ。
結構たくさんの人が来ていた。
シュートを打っていると若者たちも来て、反対側のバスケットで試合？をしていた。
今日は1時間！結構うまくできたかも。
帰宅後、キムチを仕上げる。
残りのキムチ汁と足しておいた。
オーガニックターキーのミンチ肉というのを買っていたので、解凍して、ハンバーグにしようかと言ったら、ロコモコにしようと夫。
ご飯を炊きながら、ハンバーグを作って、最後目玉焼きもして、出来上がり。
鶏肉に味が近いので、ちょっと雰囲気が違うけれどおいしかった。
最終話を見て、早めにお布団へ。
調べたら三部作で、原作を買うかどうか迷っている。
ちょっとしっくりこない点も多いしな。
とても楽しい週末だった。
