Sunny day!
I woke up late.
Coffee and banana bread.
I watered the garden, and tried to smooth out soil in the main garden.
But the sun was already strong, so I had to stop soon.
Those seeds in sunroom are almost all germinated.
The asparagus are finally, well, almost there.
In the afternoon,
instead having some lunch, we went to Iron grill to celebrate Dan’s birthday.
It was 2:30, and we could to sit down at the bar.
They had clam chowder for the special, and I had that.
It was really good.
but I couldn’t eat the other order.
The Bushmills whiskey we had at the end knocked me out.
We had a long nap.
And we did not do anything afterwards.
That is nice too.
We celebrated Dan’s birthday as national holiday.
Like his dad once argued the police who was giving him a ticket saying,
‘it’s a holiday! it’s my son’s birthday!”
He was parking at no parking spot “expect Sundays and holidays”
いい天気！
ゆっくり起きた。
コーヒーと、バナナブレッド。
まず水やりをして、土をほぐしていたけれど、どんどん暑くなるのですぐに終了。
サンルームの種はもうほとんど出そろったかもしれない。
心配していたアスパラガスもあと少しのようだ。
お昼過ぎ、ごはんどうしよう、となって、
今日は誕生日のお祝いに行くつもりだったから、もう今から行っちゃう？となった。
２時半ごろ、ちょうど空いている時間で、ひさしぶりにカウンターに座れた。
今日のスペシャルでクラムチャウダーがあったのでいただく。
おいしい。
もうひとつオーダーしたのは全然たべられなかった。
最後にブッシュミルで乾杯したのがガツンと効いて、帰宅してからぐっすりお昼寝。
そのあとも、ゆるゆると過ごした。
あれ、夜までなにも食べなかったかも。
そういう日もいいですね。
夫の誕生日を、まるで祝日かのようにお祝いした。
夫が子供の頃、父親がお祝いにレストランに連れて行ってくれた。
でも「日・祝日以外は駐車禁止」のところに駐車していたので、罰金を取られることに。
父親は警官に「でも今日は俺の息子の誕生日なんだ！だから祝日だろ？」と言った、というこのエピソードが大好き。
