Today is Dan’s birthday!
It was cloudy in the morning, but the sun came out.
I made coffee, and then baked banana bread.
Instead the birthday cake.
I watered, and worked on the main garden.
Then I took a short video.
The sun was really strong.
When I came back inside, Dan was talking to his sister.
We went to co-op to get food for Dan’s birthday lunch.
I got organic chicken.
I cooked really slowly.
First I made miso soup, then rice, kale, and then cooked chicken with sweet sour sauce.
Dan was working on the part of roof? that was old and broken.
He likes working on wood.
After lunch, we rest a little bit and went outside again.
We made a small fire, but the wind was blowing, so we stopped.
The sunset was so strong and beautiful.
We had a relaxing night.
It was great birthday!
今日は夫の誕生日。
曇っていたけれど、どんどん晴れていって気持ちのいい日だった。
コーヒーを入れて、それからバナナブレッドを焼いた。
ケーキの代わり。
わたしたちは甘党ではないので、これくらいがちょうどいい。
水やりして、土をほぐしたり、お庭のはしっこで動画を撮ってみたり。
そうしているうちにどんどん日差しがきつくなる。
家の中に入ると、夫は妹と電話していた。
早めの時間にコープへ行って、オーガニックのチキンを買う。
それから、すこしずつ時間をかけて料理する。
合間に動画の編集をしたり、芽が出てきた木のことを調べたり。
お味噌汁、ご飯を炊いて、ケールを炒めて、最後に鳥の甘酢餡かけをつくった。
夫はポーチの上の雨樋というのだろうか、板が古くなって取れた部分を修理していた。
お昼をたべた後、少し休んでからまた外へ。
焚き火をしたけれど、風が強いからすぐやめた。
夕日が、すごくきれいで、なんともいえない景色だった。
そのままあとはゆっくりして過ごす。
とてもいい誕生日になった。
