Sunny day again.
Coffee and yogurt with banana.
I watered first, and then we went to the saw mill to get some saw dust.
It was like fine powder, little finer than I thought but it will work.
I put them around the trees and berries.
It will help prevent weeds and keep it moist.
Dan finished raspberry support.
It will take years to grow, but it will be very beautiful.
It got sunny and hot, so I switched to inside,
took care of the seedlings.
The cherry was finally germinated!
I don’t even remember when I planted them.
Persimmon look like need some more time.
Dan was cleaning the porch.
We love his new bench.
We took photos there.
The last photo was took while we were talking and that was the best one.
Dan made quesadillas for lunch.
Then we watched Academy award.
I just wanted to watch Youn Yuh-jung’s great presentation.
Dan fell asleep.
It got cool down a lot so I went outside to work.
I tried to smooth out the main garden’s soil.
Debbie came to talk to us.
Dan woke up and join us.
It seems like the stray dog found a home.
When I was back to work,
I was burring holes made by mole.
And I found this creature inside.
It didn’t move so we stared each other....
I did some research afterwards and it is most likely gopher not mole.
While mole is meat eater, gopher eats vegetables.
I also found a nest the compost, so...
Dan was burning the leaves again.
The smoke and sunset was so beautiful.
I made dumplings and rice again.
We watched “Death on Nile”
今日もいい天気。
コーヒーとヨーグルトバナナいり。
水やりをしてから、木工所におがくずをもらいに行く。
想像より細かい、粉みたいなものだったけれど、
一輪車にたっぷりもらった。
それを、ベリー類や木の根元に。
これで乾燥と雑草の生育が抑えられる。
夫がラズベリーの支えを仕上げてくれた。
ここまで育つのはだいぶ先だろうけれど、そうなったら、古い水色の木材と緑と赤で、すごくかわいいな、楽しみ。
日が照ってきたので、室内に移動。
苗の世話をしたり。
もういつ植えたのかわからないくらい前に植えた、チェリーの芽が出てきていてすごくうれしい。
柿はまだかかりそうだった。
夫はベンチのまわりを掃除していた。
とてもシンプルでいい。
せっかくなのでタイマー機能で、記念写真を撮った。
最後に撮ったものは、シャッターの音を気にせずしゃべっていて、
とても自然に撮れた。
お昼は夫がケーサディーヤをつくってくれた。
そのあと寝転がって、オスカー授賞式の前半を見た。
ユン・ヨジョンさんの部分を見たかっただけなんだけど、結局ぜんぶ見た。
夫は途中から寝ていた。
涼しくなった頃合いで外に。
畝をつくった時は、土をきちんとほぐさなかったので、
手ですこしずつほぐす。
お隣のデビーが様子を見にきていろいろしゃべる。
夫も起きてきて加わった。
数ヶ月前に迷い込んだ犬は、ちゃんと家が見つかったようだった。
そのあともまたお庭で作業。
モグラの巣穴があったので埋めていたら、中にいるなにかと目があった！！
１分くらい見つめあってしまった。
そのあと調べたら、モグラではなく、ホリネズミの可能性が高そう。
モグラが肉食なのにくらべて、ホリネズミは草食。
コンポストを食べていたところから見ても、たぶん、ホリネズミ！
夫はまた落ち葉を燃やしていた。
焚き火の煙と夕日がとてもきれい。
夜は餃子丼。
アルキュール・ポアロの映画を見た。
