yuko's diary 3/25/25

Tuesday.

I worked at the usual hospital.

It was a busy day, and we couldn’t go for a walk.

After lunch, we had a short walk, then after 1pm patient, we went to Ace to get a small parts.

When we returned I realized that the chiller was not working.

Today is the warmest day of the year.

The MRI machine had to stay cool to work.

So we called tech guy and tried everything.

We gave at some point, and switched to cooling the machine in other ways.

Using huge AC unit, and using water bypass.

The machine room was almost 100.

We managed to scan two more patients and finished the day.

Tech people will buy us lunch tomorrow they say.

We were sweating, and dirty, but we were done.

I went home little after 4:30, and Dan was preparing salad and fish sticks.

He was busy working on the bathroom door.

My workout was 100 snatches.

We watched the series to the end.

It got little dull in the last half, but it was still good.

I liked the ending.

火曜日。

今日は仕事の日。

朝からずっと忙しく、午前中は歩きに行けなかった。

お昼休みに歩きに出て、午後イチの患者さんの後、必要なものを買い出しに行く。

帰ってきたら、チラーが動いていない。やばい。

おりしも今日は今年一番の陽気。

午後1時の、一番暑い時間帯。

MRIの機械はある一定の温度を超えると止まってしまう。

慌てて技術部に連絡して、ありとあらゆることを試したけれど、動かない。

諦めて、水で冷やす方法に移る。

病院の水道からホースで水を繋いで、トレイラーの中を通った水を道路に流すというなんとも無理矢理な方法。

さらに機械室にでかいクーラーを設置してなんとか温度を下げようとするものの、すでに37度近くまで上がっていてなかなか下がらない。

そんなこんなの合間になんとか機械をなだめながら、2件スキャンをこなした。

がんばったので、技術部の人が明日お昼を奢ってくれるらしい。

汗もかいたし、埃まみれだし、でもなんとか今日を終えられてよかった。

4時半過ぎに終わって帰宅。

夫が用意していてくれたサラダとフィッシュスティックで晩ごはん。

夫は夫でバスルームのドアの修理で忙しかったそう。

ワークアウトはスナッチ100回。

床に置いたダンベルを一気に頭の上まで持ち上げる運動。

シリーズを最後まで観る。

後半ちょっとだれたけれど、最後まで犯人がわからない王道のミステリーなのがよかった。

余計な引っ張りもなく、スッキリ終わって満足。
