It was nice sunny day.
Coffee.
When it’s sunny, the plants look happy, but also dry.
The irrigation water is not on yet, so I used drinking water.
When I was watering the main garden,
I saw the arugula’s germinated! yay.
The first one in this year.
Then I worked on expanding the garden.
Dan came to tell me the lunch is ready.
Huevos rancheros.
I missed this so much.
We ate a lot, but didn’t take nap.
Instead had coffee and went outside.
It is really nice to work together.
Dan cleared the dry sod using two buckets.
He treated it as lifting fitness.
We made it! We finished busting sod.
Now we have to make furrows.
The soil is rocky and sandy, but it will be good in few years.
Then we changed and went to Iron Grill.
The waiter we used to talk was there.
She said thank you in Japanese.
ひさしぶりのいい天気。
コーヒー。
夫がランチにまたメキシカンをつくってくれるとのことで、
それを楽しみに外に出る。
晴れると、植物はうれしそうだけれど、
あ、乾燥してきたなとわかる。
まだ用水路が開いてないから、水道水をジョーロに入れて、３往復した。
メインのお庭では、ルッコラの芽が！
わー、今年初めてだ。かわいいなぁ。
それから拡張作業の続きを。
夫が呼びにきてくれてランチ。
ウェボス・レンチェロス！おいしい～。
たっぷり食べて、ふたりでごろんとし、
でもお昼寝せずにコーヒーを飲んで外に出た。
あと一息の拡張作業をいっしょにやる。
ひとりで黙々とやるよりもたのしい。
わたしが一輪車を使っていたので、夫はバケツに表土をつめて運んでいたけれど、
筋トレみたいにしていておかしかった。
予定のラインまで進めて、ついに完成！
後は畝をつくればOK。
土は石っぽくて、ところどころ砂っぽいので、年数をかけていい土になっていけばいいなと思う。
それから着替えて、町のレストランへ。
去年知り合いになった、日本語を勉強していたウェイターと話せた。
「どうもありがとうございました」と言ってくれた。
