yuko's diary 3/20/26

It’s the spring equinox.

It was cloudy in the morning, but it cleared by afternoon.

I took care of rye bread and started bagel dough.

I walked around the garden.

Some seeds are sprouting.

Apricot flower is blooming in just one day, and so is musukari.

Cats are fighting and sparrows are fighting.

It’s spring.

Dan made us breakfast burritos.

It got scrambled eggs and it was great.

We went to the post office and then co-op.

We were told there was a rummage sale at community center.

So we took a peak.

We found this old recipe set in a yellow box and pile of embroidery patterns.

Back home, I baked rye bread and took a break.

Then I couldn’t wake up.

I was so tired.

It’s this weather and the new moon.

In the evening, I boiled bagel and baked them.

Also cooked dinner.

We watched “Kajillionaire” (2020)

Movie written and directed by Miranda July.

It was not what I expected, but it was great.

We talked after watched it.

We stayed up really late.

春分の日。

朝のうちは曇っていたけれど、午後からすごくきれいに晴れた。

昨夜仕込んだライ麦パンの生地の続きと、ベーグル生地を始める。

お庭の様子を見て回る。

ちょっと前に植えた種がちらほら発芽している。

アプリコットの花が1日で一気に咲いて、ムスカリも咲き始めた。

猫が喧嘩していて、スズメも喧嘩している。

春だ。

お昼は夫がブレイクファストブリトーをつくってくれた。

スクランブルエッグが入っていて、お腹いっぱいになる。

その後、夫が郵便局へ小包みを出すのについていく。

ついでにコープに寄ると、コミュニティセンターでセールをやってるよというので、行ってみる。

家にあるいらないものを持ち寄ったようなセールで、でもおもしろいものが見つかった。

古いレシピ。カードに印刷されていて、黄色いボックスに入っている。

それと、古い刺繍の図案の切り抜き？よくわからないけれど、きれい。

家に帰ってライ麦パンを焼きながら、ちょっと休憩のつもりが、ぐっと眠ってしまった。

なんだかすごく疲れている。

新月もあるのかも。

夕方に起きてから、ベーグルを茹でて焼く。

そのまま晩ごはんにも取り掛かる。

マヒマヒ定食。

夜はミランダ・ジュライの映画をみる。

“Kajillionaire” (2020)

予想していたのと少し違ったけれど、おもしろかった。

見終わった後、夫といろいろ話す。

かなり夜更かししてしまった。
