Monday.
At 6:30, it was getting lighter.
Spring is almost here.
After Dan left for work, I had coffee and yogurt.
Cleaned up, and took hot bath.
Phew.
I did laundry, and potting up peppers.
They are still small.
Went outside, and dug out last year’s compost.
It almost like completely soil, but I can spot some seed pits, or plastic stickers.
I added it on top of garlic sprouts.
And shallots.
And then put back the mulch.
It was lots of work.
Saige came running to me from my behind.
And I thought it was a deer.
They are same color.
I had to stop and eat lunch at 1pm.
I finished the laundry, and started preparing dinner.
Miso soup, kale, and rice.
Then I went out to finish the compost.
And started preparing the carrot patch.
I found carrots from last year.
Saige came again, and I gave her ham.
Dan came home, and I went inside to finish making dinner.
After dinner, we had a relaxing night.
We finished this mini series “The Signal”
It was scary in the beginning, but it got funny.
And the ending was beautiful.
We went to bed earlier than yesterday.
月曜日。
6時半はもううっすら明るくなり始めていてホッとする。
春分まで後少しだ。
夫を見送ってコーヒー、ヨーグルト。
片付けてお風呂に入る。
ふぅっとひといき。
洗濯物を回して、ペッパー類の鉢上げを少し。
まだまだ小さい。
外へ出て、去年のコンポストを掘り起こす。
やっぱりほぼ土みたいな見た目でわかりにくい。
アボカドの種、スーパーの果物についていたシールなんかで場所を確定する。
ニンニクの畝にねこ車で運ぶ。
マルチをよけて、出てきている芽の周りにコンポストを被せ、またマルチを被せる。
これが結構な作業。
シャロットの畝にも同じようにする。
セージが背後から走ってきて横にきたときは、一瞬シカかと思って思わず声が出た。
びっくりした、同じ色だね。
しばらく作業を見守ってくれていたけれど、飽きて帰っていった。
1時ごろ、お腹が空きすぎて途中でストップ。
ベーグルを焼いて食べた。
洗濯物を片付けて、晩ごはんの用意を先に始める。
ジャガイモとタマネギのお味噌汁、ごはん、ケール。
豆腐ステーキを焼く用意まで仕掛けておく。
それからまた外へ。コンポストの作業を終わらせて、ニンジンの畝へ。
そろそろ種を蒔きたいのできれいに片付けておく。
去年の残りの小さなニンジンがいくつか出てきた。
またセージが遊びにきていたので、残りのハムをあげる。
ちょうど夫も帰宅した。
切り上げて豆腐の仕上げ。
晩ごはん後はのんびり。
ドイツのミニシリーズ、"The Signal” というのを見終わった。
最初怖かったけど、だんだんおもしろくなって、最後はなかなかよかった。
昨日より早めに寝たと思う。
