It is cold today too.
I woke up little early.
Coffee and bagel.
I worked on zine.
I started washing machine and went outside.
The ground was frozen. oops.
I couldn’t dig, so instead
I pulled some weeds from the place with wood chips.
And also I cleaned the old sunflowers.
There are lots of sunflower seeds around there.
And the mole’s mud.
It looked like after party or the bar floor with peanuts shells.
Dan asked me why I plant sunflowers that I don’t really eat.
They make shade for other crops, and also give food and material to make nest to animals.
It will stay stand in the snow so that birds can rest.
I quit working soon.
It was not sunny, but windy.
My whole body was cold.
I made fried rice for lunch with leftovers from last night as well as carrots from my garden.
I received a new pair of glasses from Japan.
The store I bought my last pair helped me to get new one.
I like them.
We were so tired, we took nap after lunch.
The weather and hard work finally got us.
We had relaxing afternoon.
今日も寒い。
少し早く目が覚めた。
コーヒーとベーグル。
zineの作業を少しした後、
洗濯機を回して、外に出てみたけれど、
地面がしっかり凍っていた。
あらら。
これではあまりなにもできないなぁと思いつつ、
おがくずが集まっているところの雑草を抜いたり、
枯れたひまわりの掃除をしたりした。
ひまわりの種があちこちに散らばっていて、もぐらが穴を掘った跡がある。
パーティの後みたいな、バーの床にピーナッツの殻が落ちているような感じでおもしろかった。
ひまわりは食べないのになんで植えるの、と夫に聞かれたけれど、
日陰をつくってくれるし、こうやって誰かの食べ物になったり、巣の材料になる。
雪の中でもまだ立っているから、鳥もとまれるし。
しゃがんで草引きをしているだけでは、体が暖まらなくて、あまり長い間作業はできなかった。
風も強く、太陽が出ていないので寒い。
引きあげて、お昼に、昨日の残りのご飯とチキンと、それからお庭の人参で焼き飯にした。
けっこうおいしい。
日本から、新しい眼鏡が届く。
前回帰国したときに作ったお店で、メールだけのやりとりで新しく作ってもらった。
丸じゃなくて、しっかりしたフレームのものはひさしぶり。
慣れるまですこしかかりそう。
ごはんの後は眠たくて、お昼寝。
急に気温が下がると、体が冬に戻ってしまう。
そのあともゆったりして過ごした。
明日からはすこしゆるむといいけど。
