Friday.

We are off today.

I wish it would be sunny like yesterday, but it was back to cloudy day.

I woke up late and took care of rye bread.

Ate some toast.

The same temperature, but it felt much colder.

Maybe the wind.

We drove to the town to get few things.

We had chili and quesadillas for lunch.

Chips and guacamole.

We went for a walk.

We walked to the park and stopped by at the community center.

Back home, I baked rye bread.

We spent a relaxing afternoon.

I did some knitting.

I came up with the idea to make fish and chips with fish sticks and roasted potatoes.

It was not enough so I also made broccolis and sprouts salad.

Unusual, but fun dinner.

We watched “First Cow”

I did not know nothing about this movie.

It took us some time to figure out what era and where this movie is in.

It was gold rush and Oregon.

Quiet, but fun movie.

I liked it.

But I don’t want to live like them.

All western clothes are dirty and miserable, and all indigenous people’s clothes look beautiful.

金曜日。

おやすみの日。

昨日みたいに晴れてほしかったけれど、また曇りに戻っちゃった。

のんびり起きて、昨日のライ麦パンの続き。

トースト。

気温は同じくらいなのに、太陽が出ていないだけで寒い。

風も吹いている。

車でさっと買い出し。

冷蔵庫がなんだか水漏れするので、動かして点検する。

定期的に掃除した方が良さそう。

お昼はチリの残りと、ケーサディーヤ。

チップスとワカモレ。

散歩に出る。

公園まで歩いて、コミュニティセンターに寄って帰宅。

帰宅後ライ麦パンを焼く。

午後はのんびり、編み物もする。

夜ごはんはフィッシュスティックと、ローストポテトで、フィッシュエンドチップス的なものにしようと思いつく。

それだけでは物足りないから、ブロッコリーの甘酢炒めとスプラウツのサラダも。

なんだかいつもと違うスタイルでたのしいご飯になった。

夜、映画をみる。

“First Cow” (2020)

全然なんの映画だかわからないまま見始めたけれど面白かった。

ゴールドラッシュ時代のオレゴンが舞台。

最初に結末がわかっているタイプの映画で、それでもおもしろいのはよかった。

しかし、この頃の暮らしは大変そうだなぁ。

服もなんだか薄汚れて、ヨレヨレなのに対して、Indigenous の人たちの服はカラフルでかっこよかった。
