yuko's diary 2/27/26

Friday.

It was weekend.

We slept in.

Rye bread toast with cream cheese and sour cherry jam is what we have for breakfast.

Today we had banana and black berries.

It was really nice.

I did laundry and went outside.

It was windy again, but not cold.

I cleaned up sunflower, and other withered plants.

There are so many things to do.

Dan made us BLT sandwiches.

With little bit of mayonnaise.

Very good.

In the afternoon, after nap, I did lots of pruning.

We might need to cut some branches from big trees.

I made dinner.

Sweet and sour broccoli, mahi mahi with lemon butter sauce, and brown rice.

We watched a movie at night.

“The Apprentice” (2024)

It was about Trump and Roy Cohn, and I was not sure, but it was pretty good.

We liked the main actor who did Trump.

He did really good job.

金曜日。

今日はおやすみ。

たっぷり寝坊して起きる。

ライ麦パンのトーストに、クリームチーズとサワーチェリーのジャムが定番の朝ごはん。

今朝はバナナと、ブラックベリーもあって豪華だった。

新鮮な果物に体が喜んでる。

洗濯物を回してから外へ。

今日も風が強いけれど、気温は上がっている。

枯れたままだったヒマワリを片付けたり、あちこち耕したり、することはたくさんある。

お昼は夫がBLTサンドイッチを作ってくれた。

ちょっとだけマヨネーズが入っている。

とってもおいしい。

午後は剪定をしっかりした。

大きな木も少し枝を落とさないといけないかも。

夜ごはんはマヒマヒ定食。

ブロッコリーの甘酢炒め、マヒマヒのレモンバターソース、玄米ごはん。

スプラウトのサラダ付き。

夜は映画をみる。

“The Apprentice” (2024)

トランプが成り上がっていく様子を描いた映画。

舞台は70年代？のNYなので、背景をうまくぼかして、色調も古い映画のように加工してあるのだけど、やりすぎず、ちょうどよかった。

トランプ役の俳優さんがとても上手い。

自信のない、まだかわいらしい感じの青年から、いやらしい中年へ自然と変化していく様がとてもよく描かれている。

どうかな、と思ったけれど当たりの映画だった。
