It was super cat day in Japan.
Because 2 can be read "meow" in Japanese.
I saw a lot of cats on my Insta feed.
Cold morning.
Dan made fire in the morning.
Coffee and oatmeal.
I sent proofreading to the authors.
Then tried to reduce pages...
My eyes were tired, I took many breaks though.
I made same soup as yesterday.
I love put kimchi in mine.
It was so cold, but I went outside with my camera.
The ice on the creek became another level of sculpture.
Some vegetable were surviving underneath snow, but
it will be killed by tonight’s cold.
So I picked as much as I could.
Two kinds of kale and spinach.
Back home, Dan asked to me to bring my camera to bathroom.
The view from there through the bed room and kitchen was so beautiful.
I am sure we are living in a movie set.
Dan was working in the studio.
He is preparing for sending his poetry.
I checked my plants there,
and I thought persimmon tree was sprouting, but it was those dead leaves sprouting...
Well I knew it will take time.
Dan made pizza for dinner.
The dough was little too sticky, but it turned out just fine.
On top top of our usual topping, we also put pesto and spinach.
Very good.
We watched Ali Wong’s new comedy special.
She is so funny.
She says she wants not only equal pay but equal pleasure!
We had to watch the water pipes from freezing tonight.
昨日の夜から、インスタのフィードが猫になってて、
そうか、日本は猫の日、しかも今年は特別なんだなと感じた。
こちらでは特になにもない。
朝から冷えていて、夫が起きてすぐに火を熾してくれた。
コーヒー、それからしばらくしてオートミール。
校正から戻ってきたものを作者さんに送って確認してもらう。
ページをもうすこし減らせないかと工夫中。
目が疲れるので、途中で休みをたくさんいれる。
今日もポトフをつくった。
おいしい。わたしはキムチを足すのが好み。
すごく寒かったけれど外にも出てみる。

家に戻ると夫がバスルームにカメラ持ってきて、という。
そこからベッドルーム、キッチン、とまっすぐ見えるのだけど、
光がとてもきれいだった。
映画のセットみたい。
キッチンは３面窓を入れたのだけど、ほんとうに正解だった。
夫はスタジオで、詩集の仕上げをしていたみたい。
わたしもそこの植物をチェックする。
柿の木の芽が出ている！とびっくり喜んだけれど、
どうも上に載せた枯れ葉から新芽が出ていたっぽい。
雑草はいちばん強い。
夜はまたピザをつくる。
生地が今回はベタベタで心配したけど、いつもどおりうまくできた。
いつもの具に、さらにペストと、お庭のほうれん草ものせた。
おいしい。
夜、アリ・ウォンのスタンダップ・コメディーを見る。
今年のもの、新しい。
男女の不平等さについて話しているんだけど、さすがにめちゃくちゃおもしろかった。
水道管破裂予防をしてから寝る。
