It was cloudy and cold morning.
Dan made us coffee and oatmeal.
I washed sheets and pillow case.
Even though it was not warm, I put plants outside for sun.
The onion has sprouted!
Very delicate white sprouts.
Hope it will survive the cold weather which is coming next week.
The sun come out around noon.
Snow is gone at several places that you can see the ground.
We walked to the mail box together.
The irrigation water bill was there.
It is not cheap, but if you think about that the price is fixed, it is cheap.
I love watering the garden because then I know that water is not only
growing my plants, but also going straight back to the river.
Also it will help prevent fire.
Dan called the garbage disposal company.
The town is too small to have its own system,
so we are paying a company.
During summer, there was always a lot of construction waste,
so we were paying for two big bins, but we barely use that anymore.
We asked to reduce to one bin.
Dan was busy working in his studio.
I was knitting.
Finished one sock and started another.
Dan made pizza dough and baked one for lunch.
Then we both tried to make pizza for dinner.
I tried to make thinnest pizza, and it turned out great!
It’s funny how little things affect big.
ちょっと肌寒い曇りの朝。
コーヒーとオートミールを夫がつくってくれた。
シーツと枕カバーを洗濯機にかける。
寒いけれど、植物たちの日光浴。
玉ねぎの芽が出ていた。
白くてひょろりとしている。
来週頭また冷え込むらしいから心配だ。
お昼頃には太陽もしっかり出て晴れてきた。
昨日しっかり溶けたので、地面が見えているところも多い。
日向ぼっこして、郵便箱まであるく。
灌漑用水の今年の請求書が来ていた。
うちには畑用の用水路があって、それは固定料金で使い放題なのだった。
安くはない金額だけど、２４時間だしっぱなしでもこの金額と思うとやっぱり安い。
水は大事だから無駄遣いしたくないけれど、地面に撒くのはそのまま川に戻るので、
なんだか気持ちがいい。山火事の予防にもなりそう。
「灌漑」 この言葉はなんだか喉がかわく。
事務的なことをするついでに、ゴミ収集会社に連絡する。
ここは自治体が小さすぎてゴミを集めてくれない。
つまり有料なのだった。
夏の間は家の解体でいくらでもゴミが出たからでかいゴミ箱ふたつにしていたけど、
最近は少ないのでひとつに変更してもらう。
夫はスタジオで作品をつくったりしていた。
わたしは靴下の片方を編み上げる。いいかんじ。
すぐにもう片方にとりかかった。
今日も夫はピザに挑戦。
お昼に生地をつくって、一枚焼き、食べる。
夜に今度はふたりでつくってみる。
わたしは可能な限り薄くしてやろうともって伸ばしまくった。
サラミとペペロンチーニを載せる。
これが正解。薄くてパリッとしただけでかなりおいしくなった。
シンプルな分奥が深いなぁ。
