Tuesday.
The first day back to work.
It was frosted everywhere and cold.
I wore my hat.
I didn’t have any pain, and had no problem working.
We had to test some coils, and I volunteered for that.
Maybe it was my first MRI.
Some people says that they can see colors, but I couldn’t.
There was a Spanish only guy.
I asked Como esta? And he said something like so-so, and I understood that, but that’s it.
I hope I can have conversations in Spanish someday.
I could finish my book.
The end was abrupt.
But thinking her other work, maybe it made sense.
I am happy that I finished this book now in the early spring.
It was sunny and beautiful when I finished.
Dan came to pick me up.
He went to get loco moco and Tonkatsu at this new deli.
It was still warm, and we ate right away.
It was not bad at all.
But huge!
I took shower to wash the area, and changed the bandage.
It’s getting there.
We were sleeping by 9pm.
I guess I was tired.
火曜日。
ひさしぶりに仕事へ。
今朝は霜が降りていてしっかり寒い。
ニット帽もかぶって早足で歩いた。
痛みはないので、仕事もいつも通りにこなせてホッとする。
今日はコイルと呼ばれる、体のスキャン場所によって変える部品の点検があって、
わたしもMRIの中に入ってみた。
よく考えると初めてかもしれない。
たまに色が見えるという人もいるけれど、わたしは何も見えなかった。
午後、スペイン語オンリーのおじさん。
Como esta? お元気ですか、の挨拶に、多分、まぁまぁかなと答えてくれたのは推測できたけど、その先が続かない。
いつか会話できるようになるかなぁ。
少し合間もあったので、読書を。
『誠実な詐欺師』を読み終わった。
え、ここで終わり？というような静かな終わりで、さすがムーミンの原作者だと思う。
春の兆しが見え始めた時期に読み追われてよかった。
そっけない調子の英語は多分原語に合っているのだろうけれど、本当のところはわからないな。
4時半に終わった頃、外はとてもいい天気だった。
夫がちょうど帰ってきて、迎えにきてくれた。
仕事で行くスーパーの一角にできたデリで、ロコモコ丼と、トンカツ丼を買ってきてくれた。
うわー、嬉しい。
ロコモコのハンバーグは少し硬めだったけれど、ご飯はおいしいし、トンカツが予想よりおいしい。
まだ温かいのですぐにいただいた。
一服してからシャワーを浴びて患部をきれいにする。
傷が開くこともなく、ちゃんと治ってきている。
夜、気づいたら寝ていたと思う。
9時ごろかな、やっぱり疲れているのかも。
