Friday.

We were off today.

The sun was out for the first time in weeks.

The ground was frozen, but so beautiful.

I started sourdough.

Dan made us breakfast burritos.

It was really good.

After little break, we went for a walk.

It was not too cold.

We walked down to the park to see the river.

The water is coming down, but it goes so fast and also brown.

We stopped at the feed store to see if they still have honey that we bought two years ago.

We also stopped at the community center to buy quiche.

It was only 12$ for a whole. Wow.

Back home, I worked on the block printing.

I don’t like the texture of this material, but managed to make some.

I tested and I liked all three of them, so I printed all of them.

There are so many printmaking techniques, it’s so deep.

I think I want to do wood block prints.

I baked bread, but it was over rose and so it came out flat.

I was originally thinking to give them for neighbors but they are ours now.

I warmed up quiche and we ate it for dinner.

I worked on my prints, and that’s it.

Dan made fire.

I think we went to bed early.

金曜日。

今日はお休み。

朝起きたらすごくいい天気でうれしい。

2週間ぶり？もっとかもしれない。

霜が降りているから結構冷えたのだろう。

サワードウを仕込む。

朝昼兼用で夫がブレックファストブリトーをつくってくれた。

おいしい〜。

少し休んで散歩に出る。

そんなに寒くない。

公園まで行って、川の様子を見る。

また少し水位が下がっているけれど、それでも流れが速くて濁っている。

帰り道に家畜の飼料を売っているお店へ。

2年前くらいにここでハチミツを買ったのだけど、やっぱりもう売ってなかった。

コミュニティセンターでポップアップのキッシュを売っていたので買って帰る。

ホールで12ドル。安すぎる。

帰宅してからは版画の作業。

インクパッドでインクをつけて試し刷りしてはまた掘る。

このゴムの素材と彫刻刀の相性はあまり良くなくて、でもそれなりにできた。

合板を掘った方も結構気に入っていて、結局3種類もつくってしまった。

版画は本当にいろんな方法があって、奥が深いなぁ。

わたしがやりたいのは木版画なのだと思う。

サワードウを焼いたけれど、発酵しすぎてぺちゃんこになっちゃった。

近所の人にあげるつもりだったけれど、これは家用。

まだ温かいオーブンでキッシュを温める。

皮が固かったけれど、味はおいしい。

夜も版画の作業をして、後はのんびりした。

冷えてきたので夫が暖炉に火を入れてくれる。

結構早めに寝たと思う。
