Tuesday.
When Dan was leaving for work, it was all dark, but when I was leaving, it was much brighter.
It was raining lightly.
I worked with Josh for the first time in months.
It looked like a slow day, but I knew it won’t stay quiet.
There were two cancellations but two add-ons.
And those were challenging ones.
Plus I had to do the annual training of sexual harassment, diversity, workplace crisis management, and so on, those ordinal training.
We also had to do the HIPAA and basic protection from blood borne infections.
Phew.
I loved Ergonomics one.
Dan had to do this one too.
Maybe it’s required in this state.
We were not sure if we can do this scan, but we did, so we ended up really late.
We told the last patient to come late.
They claim that they can tell the different Asians in eyes.
I just smiled.
Their daughter in law is Korean, and they hosted Japanese exchange students.
I was told that I was bilingual and so I said I’m trying to be trilingual.
There were many patients with severe pain, but I saw cute conversations of them with their partners and it made me happy.
I worked little past 5 and Dan came to pick me up.
It was all dark outside.
We had burritos from taco truck.
It might be bigger than usual, I was full pretty quick.
Dan fell asleep by 8.
It was the last food pantry of the year.
Last year, they gave kids toys, but maybe not this year..
Wish all children is happy and safe everywhere.
I did stretching and went to bed early too.
Tomorrow will be busy.

お仕事の日。
夫が出かける時はまだ真っ暗だったけれど、わたしが出発する頃には薄明るくなっていた。
小雨に降られた。
今日は久しぶりにジョシュと。
予定を見る限り暇そうだったけれど、こういう日は怪しい。
と思ったらその通りだった。
キャンセルが2件あったのに、入院患者さんが2件追加され、しかも長いスキャンだったので、ずっと忙しかった。
加えて年末のトレーニングがあって読書はできず。
セクハラ防止やダイバーシティの指導、非常事態の場合も安全に過ごすためのレクチャーなど、普通の会社のトレーニングに加えて、患者さんの守秘義務のこと、基本的な感染対策もあって、それぞれのパワーポイントを読んでクイズに答えるだけで丸一日かかった。
ふうう。当たり前やろということも多かったけれど、おもしろい内容もあった。
Ergonomics 人間工学というレクチャーがあって、それは仕事中の姿勢のこと。
座り方、運転時の姿勢、重いものの持ち上げ方など、知ってはいるけれど、改めて確認という感じの情報だった。夫もこれをやったと言っていたし、この州では必須なのかな。
午後はダメ元でやってみたスキャンがうまくいって、だいぶ押した。
最後の患者さんには1時間遅れで来てもらう。
陽気な人で、義理の娘が韓国人で、昔家に日本人の交換留学生がいたと言っていた。
目を見ればどの東アジア人かわかる、と言い張る。笑って受け流す。
あなたはバイリンガルね、というので、今スペイン語を勉強中でトリリンガル目指していますと言っておく。
痛みの強い患者さんが多かったものの、パートナーとのかわいいやりとりを何回か垣間見られて心が休まった日だった。
5時過ぎに終わって、ささっと片付ける。
もちろんとっぷり暗い。
夫が迎えに来てくれた。
夜ご飯はタコトラックのブリトー。
いつもより大きいような。
すぐにお腹いっぱいになった。
夫は7時台にもう寝てしまう。
今日も忙しかったらしい。
クリスマス前最後のフードパントリー、そして今年最後のフードパントリーだったらしい。
去年配ったおもちゃはすごくすごく喜ばれたと言っていたけれど、今年は配れたのかな。
全ての子供が笑顔でありますように。
しっかりストレッチしてわたしも早めに寝る。
明日は忙しくなりそう。
