Thursday.

I woke up early and went to Brewster.

It was different driver who listened to Beethoven.

There was a cancelation and reschedule.

We had so much free time and so we chatted a lot.

My colleague I usually work with on this site is a good story teller and so we usually chat all the time.

It was raining and cold and I couldn’t go for a walk.

I got on the 3pm bus.

Now he was listening to NPR.

Bad news.

I walked to the library and bought beautiful book from donation corner.

Then tried to find some book about printmaking, but there was none.

A young librarian asked me if I’m looking for something and she ordered some books for me.

I got on the second bus and went to home.

I walked with a neighbor who didn’t have umbrella.

People in NPW doesn’t use umbrella and that’s their pride.

I do as my hair doesn’t dry up like theirs.

Back home, it was late but I made wanton soup.

Just garlic, ginger, onion, and lemon grass.

I could only eat half.

Dan ate the rest later.

I did my workout and jumping rope.

Then I worked on my printmaking.

I decided to make two patterns.

Dan came home and we had a fun night together.

Before I realized it was midnight.

木曜日。

今日は早起きしてブリュースターへ。

バスの運転手さんがいつもと違う人だった。

ベートーベンを流していて、なんだか景色も違って見える。

午前中はキャンセルと変更があり、たくさんおしゃべりする。

ここでいつも一緒になる同僚は話がうまくて、ずっとしゃべっていても飽きない。

お昼を食べていつもなら歩きにでるところだけど、雨が降っていて寒いので、ずっと籠っていた。

3時に上がって、バスに乗り込む。

今度はラジオのニュースだった。

ひどいニュースばかりだな。

図書館へ行って、寄付本のコーナーで素敵な版画の本を買う。

それから版画のやり方みたいな本を探してみたけれど、驚くほどない。

若い司書さんが声をかけてくれて、それっぽいものをオーダーしてくれた。

メガネの縁が虹色でかわいい。

ここの図書館にはLGBTQ＋の旗がかかっているけど、今日は落ち込んでいる人も多いのではと思う。

バスに乗り込んで町まで。

降りたところで一緒になった人としばし相合傘で帰る。

Pacific North West 北西の海岸沿いのワシントン、オレゴンあたりの人は雨が降っても傘をささないことをプライドにしているけれど、わたしはさす。

髪質が違うから、濡れても3分で乾いたりしないし。

帰宅して、もう遅かったけれど、ワンタンスープをつくる。

簡単にニンニク、ショウガ、タマネギとレモングラスだけ。

味噌と醤油で味付け。

ワンタンが膨らんで半分も食べられなかった。

残りは夫の夜食。

ワークアウトして、縄跳びして、その後は版画の作業。

今日はゴム版。

どこを反転させるか迷って２パターン作ることにした。

楽しい。

夫が帰宅して、今日はたっぷりおしゃべりができる。

あっという間に真夜中になった。
