Sunday.
The temperature didn’t drop overnight.
All trees were dropping melted snow, it was almost like raining.
Sunny, very beautiful morning.
Winter storm is gone.
I did little shoveling.
Debi told us that they can lend their snow blower, but I thought it was too heavy.
The snow is still melting.
We took shower, and had oatmeal.
Then went for a walk.
We walked to a park which Dan used to run to.
Climbed up the fence and went close to the river.
We were standing over ice, it was beautiful and quiet.
I liked climbing the fence and jump into snow.
Then we walk to the main road, and saw a lady who was shoveling in sandals.
She says she’s drying her socks.
We went inside her shop.
As they put many things outside the shop, we thought it was a shop of steel sign or something,
but it turned out a great thrifts store.
They have everything, and many interesting things.
I got few handkerchiefs and she gave me extra.
Stopped at co-op, and went home.
Saige was running towards us as Debi was shoveling outside.
It’s been a while that they led dogs out.
Faith and the boy were using blower, but it looks too hard.
They went to get more shovels.
Dan made carbonara for dinner.
I washed handkerchiefs, some of them lost lot of color.
I love cotton or linen ones.
A great weekend.
日曜日。
気温が高いまま（といっても2度くらい）で朝になって、
あちこちの木から溶けた雪がまるで雨みたいに降っている。
太陽も青空も出て、とても気持ちがいい。
ウィンターストームは東海岸へ移ったようだった。
少しだけ通路を雪かき。
雪は湿って重たいけれど、まだまだ溶けそう。
お隣のデビーが、ブロワーといって雪を飛ばす機械を貸してくれるといっていたけれど、
これは重過ぎるかもといって断った。
交代でシャワーを浴びて、オートミールを食べて、散歩に出る。
コープの横を通り過ぎて、大きな工場？のそばを歩いて公園まで。
先日の公園とは別の、プール付きのほう。
雪かきされていないところをざくざく歩いて、フェンスを乗り越えて、川まで下りた。
川の中ほどは流れているけれど、たぶん氷の上を歩いているんだろうと思うので慎重に。
フェンスを乗り越えて、雪にばふっと転がり落ちるのがたのしかった。
そのままメインの通りまで出て歩いていると、
入ったことのないお店の前で、裸足にサンダルで雪かきをしているひとがいる。
思わず声をかけると靴下を乾かしてると言っていた。
もう道路の脇は、雪というより泥水になっている。
そのままなんとなくお店に入る。
外から見た感じで、金物の看板とか売ってるのかなと思っていたけれど、
中に入ってびっくり、とても大きなアンティークショップだった。
家具から本までなんでもある。
うわー、と言いながら見て回る。
わたしはハンカチを数枚ゲット。1枚おまけしてくれた。
そのあとコープに寄って買い物をして帰る。
2時間くらい外にいたかも。とても気持ちがよかった。
帰ってきたらセージが出迎えてくれた。
デビーも雪かきをしていて、ひさしぶりに外に出してもらえたみたい。
デビーの孫娘フェイスと同居人の男の子が例のブロワーを使っていたけれど、
やっぱりうまくいかなさそうだった。あれは軽い雪に向いているものだ。
夜ごはんは買ってきたハムでカルボナーラ。
ハンカチをオキシ漬けにすると、ぺらっとしたナイロンのおまけのものは一気に色が落ちてしまった。
綿がやっぱり強いし安心。
たのしい週末だった。
