I slept on and off. Woke up before Dan left.
A beautiful day.
Went for a short run, took a hot bath.
Then sent several emails.
Today was the first day of this week I did not have any meeting.
But I got new appointment.
Wow.
I made some more Christmas ornaments. For Dan and our landlady's daughter.
In Japan, "The Gift of Magi" by O. Henry is somehow famous.
I had hard time to appreciate this story, but now I got it.
It's about the capitalism. That part of this beautiful story always bother me.
If you want to give someone something special,
you have to buy? I don't think so.
Worked little bit, and cooked dinner.
Potato salad, Brussel Sprouts with turkey bacon, miso soup, and rice.
なんだか寝たり起きたりだった。
夫が出る前には起床。
スカッと晴れてる。
さっと走りに行き、半身浴。
メールをかく。
今週初めてミーティングのない日なのだけど、
代わりにというか、問い合わせが入る。
なんだかそんな時期なんだろう。
流れに乗って行こうと思う。
今日もオーナメントをつくる。
ユニコーンもなんとか完成。
小さな星にはもみの木の枝を入れてサシェにした。
『賢者の贈り物』という例のあの話、
ずっとなんだかあまり感動できないんだよな〜って思ってたのだけど、
（わたしが冷たい人間であることはもちろんだけど）
あの話の資本主義礼讃なところが、受け付けないんだと思った。
贈り物はつくればいいのだ。
そのあと仕事のメール。それからゆっくり料理。
ポテトサラダ、芽キャベツとターキーのベーコン、お味噌汁、十穀米。
