Friday.
We woke up at 10! Wow.
I haven’t ate anything for 17 hours but not feeling hungry.
It felt like Japanese new year.
Dan made us small potato pancake.
I ate it with cottage cheese.
Dan used ketchup.
I took shower.
Dan was fixing the roof, and I went for a walk with Saige.
It was cold outside.
I made the slow fire and it took me a while to get going, but then, it lasted for whole day.
We decided to eat all leftover around 3.
Dan heated up sliced turkey breast with gravy.
And he warmed up Brussels sprouts and mashed potato.
So we ate everything except cranberry sauce.
That was great accomplishment as we usually give up some of them at the end of the week.
We did all the dishes, and everything was almost back to normal.
Good celebration.
I did 35 minutes workout and 10 minutes cardio.
I was sweating in the end.
Dan got hungry again, so he ate bagel with cream cheese and cranberry sauce.
We don’t have store bought snacks or candies, but we have dried fruits, nuts, crackers, and cheese.
I got hungry too and had cereal and soy milk.
We started new series called “Madness “
The plot was not unusual, that is: a writer who is framed for murder is trying to find the true murderer.
But if you are a big black guy, everything becomes 10 times harder.
It might be exaggeration, but it must feel like that.
金曜日。
今日は起きたら10時！びっくりした。
昨日の夜ご飯が5時だったので、17時間何も食べてないけれど、まだお腹が空かない。
ほんとお正月みたい。
お昼前に夫が小さなポテトパンケーキを作ってくれる。
マッシュポテトを平たくして両面やいた、おやきみたいなもの。
カッテージチーズを添えて食べる。
食後、シャワーを浴びてさっぱりした。
夫は屋根の修理をしていて、わたしはセージと散歩したり、編み物をしたり。
外はしっかり寒い。
ゆっくり燃える方法で暖炉に火を入れる。
一気に燃えきらない分、最初安定するまでケアが必要だけれど、炭になってくると楽しい。
夜までずっと暖かかった。
3時ごろ、残り物を食べてしまうことにする。
ターキーはスライスして、グレイビーソースと絡めて温める。
芽キャベツと、マッシュポテトも食べ切る。
サンクスギビングはお節みたいなところがあって、定番を用意するのが重要なので、飽きて残ってしまうことも多い。
でも今年は今までで一番うまくいったと思う。
クランベリーソース以外、2日間で、飽きる前に食べきれた。
洗い物も随時していたので、キッチンもそんなに汚れていない。
満足して今年のお祝いは終了。
今日も35分のワークアウトに、10分のカーディオ。
汗をかくくらい動いた。
夜、夫はお腹が空いたと言う。
でも晩ごはんを作る程でもないので、ベーグルにクリームチーズとクランベリーソースをかけて食べていた。
うちは市販のお菓子はないけれど、クラッカーやチーズ、ドライフルーツなど、摘むものはいろいろあるので何回かに分けて食べていた。
見ているとわたしもお腹が減って、シリアルを豆乳で少し。
Netflixで”Madness” という新しいシリーズを観る。
濡れ衣をかけられたライターが、じぶんで犯人探しに奮闘するという、よくある話なのだけど、主人公がブラックの大きめの男性であることで、何もかもが、何倍も困難になる。
誇張されているのかもしれないけれど、人々の視線の感じ、息ができないような恐怖、きっとそうなんだろうと思う。
