It’s our 5th wedding anniversary.
We decided to sleep as much as we want.
We woke up 10:30, I guess.
No work.
We had coffee and corn bread Dan made.
I cut my hair, washed my coat in the bathtub.
Then took a hot bath.
Dan was cleaning the room, and started cooking.
He screamed “it’s snowing!”
It was, around 2 pm, starting snowing.
It was 37 or so, so we thought it won’t last long, but actually, it did.
The first snow is always fun.
Today’s menu: pork deep fried with corn meal, cabbage, mashed potatoes, corn bread, cranberry sauce.
We had Tio Pepe which Dan’s sister sent to us.
It was fun, and beautiful anniversary.
We watched “Oriental Express” (2017), it was much better than we thought!
I didn’t know that detective Poirot is Belgian!
結婚記念日。
今日は気が済むまでゆっくり寝ると決めていた。
起きたら１０時半。
作業もなし。
コーヒーと、夫が焼いてくれたコーンブレッド。
髪を切って、作業で汚れたコートをバスタブで洗い、そのままお風呂。
夫は掃除したり、料理をゆっくり開始したりしていた。
雪！という声で外を見ると、細かな雪がたしかに降っている。
午後２時ごろだったろうか。気温はそんなに低くなく、３度くらいあったと思う。
積もらないだろうと思っていたのに、ちゃんと積もり出した。
初雪はいつでもうれしいけど、お祝いしてもらっているみたいだった。
今日のメニューは、コーンミールをつかった豚カツ、キャベツ、マッシュポテト、コーンブレッドに、クランベリーソース。
義妹が送ってくれたティオ・ペペを飲む。
楽しくておいしかった。
そのあと、たまたま見つけた『オリエント急行殺人事件』を見る。２０１７年のもの。
筋をちゃんと知らなかったからとても楽しめた。
ポアロはベルギー人なのか～。
アルキュールが、ヘラクレスのフランス語版、というのも。印象変わるなぁ。
