Monday.
I like the fact that I don’t work on Mondays.
Coffee.
I took hot bath with Roman chamomile in it.
Then I did laundry. I need to use it for dryer too.
It takes 3 hours, but oh well, I have no choice.
After my hair dried, I walked to the post office.
The shocks and hat was shipped out. It will take 6-10 days.
I went to Co-op, and got dumplings etc.
Some places are covered with ice.
I need to walk like a penguin.
Back home, I did some knitting.
This is for my niece in San Diego.
I use cotton and bamboo yarn as it won’t get too cold there.
I was watching one of my favorite movies, “The Hours”
Some of scenes, I completely forgot about, and I had to watch it closely.
I made fire, and also cut some of branches which was broken by the snow.
It will take month to dry, but we can wait.
Cloudy, cold day.
Dan came home around 4:30.
The dinner is eggplant and tomato pasta.
We didn’t have good connection tonight, and couldn’t watch anything.
I fell asleep really early, like before 9.
月曜日。
月曜はわたしは仕事じゃないので、これはなんだかほっとする。
夫を見送って、コーヒー。
お風呂につかる。
今日もローマンカモミール。
それから洗濯乾燥機を回す。乾燥まで3時間かかるけれどしかたない。
髪がしっかり乾いてから、郵便局まで歩いていく。
6−10日後に到着するように荷物を出せた。
コープによって、冷凍餃子など買い込む。
ところどころ、道が完全なアイス。
ペンギンのように歩くといいらしい。気をつけてすすむ。
帰宅後は編み物。
次は、というか、もともと編んでいたサン・ディエゴの姪のニット帽に戻る。
赤ちゃんサイズの後だと大きく感じるな。
サン・ディエゴは暖かいので、ウールではなく竹と綿でできている糸。
途中で映画をかけながら編み物。
“The Hours”、わたしの一番好きな映画のひとつ。
ひさしぶりに見たら、けっこう忘れている場面もあって見入ってしまった。
夕方一度薪ストーブをたき、雪で折れた枝をカットする。
これが乾くまではもう少しかかるだろう。
どんより曇って寒いいちにち。
夫4時半ごろ帰宅。
夜ご飯はナスとトマトのパスタ。
しっかり食べた。
なんだかWi-Fiの様子がおかしくて何も見られず。
早めに寝た。
