Monday.
After Dan left for work, I had coffee and banana.
I did laundry, and cleaned the room.
The sun was peaking, but soon covered with clouds.
Concetta called me about logo of the culture center.
And so I worked little on that.
Then took bath.
When I was harvesting carrot, Saige came running to me.
One cookie.
The sun was out.
Carrot and potatoes from my garden, onion, and sweet potato.
I made curry and rice.
While cooking it down, I started working on clay.
There is holiday market in the beginning of December, and I needed to hurry making things.
I was aware of it, but there were so many other things to deal with, and I ended up this time.
I decided to make small sake cups.
The sun felt good.
I had some through the kitchen window.
I listened to the radio whole time.
I made five cups.
There was a nock.
It was those church people.
Well dressed women, and not scary at all, but I couldn’t tell them that I’m not christian.
They said they will come back.
Saige was barking, but she doesn’t scare people away.
I was still making cups when Dan came home.
I made three more, and then we ate curry and rice.
Then two more. Ten in total not bad.
John Oliver covered about Gaza.
It was very basic, but I feel like this is what most American needed to hear.
Especially liberals.
Hamas is not equal to all Palestinians.
Netanyahu is not equal to all Israelis.
In fact both leaders were not their people’s favorite at all.
I was glad that people like him talked about it.
月曜日。
夫を見送って、コーヒー、バナナ。
洗濯機を回してから掃除。
朝は太陽が出ていたけれど、雲に隠れてしまった。
コンチェッタから連絡があって、カルチャーセンターのロゴの件でちょっと作業する。
それからお風呂。
お昼頃、ニンジンを収穫していたら、セージが走ってくる。
クッキーを1枚。
午後また太陽が出てくる。
お庭のニンジン、ジャガイモに、タマネギとサツマイモを足してカレーを作る。
久しぶりに食べたくなった。
煮込み始めたところで、土を触る。
来月の頭にホリデーバザールがあって、それに出すものを慌てて作ることにした。
忘れていたわけではないけれど、先月はいろいろありすぎてそこまで力が回らなかった。
ようやく空白ができたので、小さいものをつくることにする。
盃くらいのサイズのものならたくさんできるので、せっせとつくり始めた。
太陽が出てきて気持ちいい。
途中で台所の窓から日向ぼっこしながら、まず5つつくった。
ラジオをずっと聴いている。
途中、ノックが。
カレーの仕上げもしていたので、手を拭きながら出ると、
いわゆる宗教の勧誘だった。
こ綺麗な格好の女性二人で怖くはないけれど、すぐにパッと断れなくって、
また来るわと帰って行った。うーん。
セージは吠えていたけれど、特に追い払ったりはしない。
カレーはできた、と引き続き土を触っていると夫が帰宅。
さらに3つつくって、それから晩御飯にする。
ご飯の後も2つ、全部で10個できた。
ジョン・オリバーのレイトショーで、ガザのことをやっていた。
この番組ではとてもカバーし切れないけれど、一番大切なことと言って、
ハマースはパレスチナの人々とイコールではいこと、
ネタニヤフはイスラエルの人々とイコールではないこと、
悲劇は競い合うものではないことを伝えていた。
英米の関わりも。
基礎的なものだったけれど、英米の二重国籍の彼が話してくれる意義は大きい。
今のアメリカ人特にリベラルの人に必要な内容だと感じた。
少しほっとした。
