Sunday.
I woke up fairly early. Coffee.
Dan made biscuits and ham.
We ate it with jam.
I finished the baby hat. Phew.
I also made pompon but it messed up with hats, so no.
Took photos, and packed.
I need to send it until the baby grows too big.
We went for shopping around 3pm.
As we are not doing the food distribution this month,
we need to go shopping more often.
We got the same big ham, it was $36.
But it is well worth it. We can make 20 sandwiches easily.
The town was really quiet.
I guess everyone was watching football.
Saige came running to the car.
She was outside whole afternoon.
The chow chow in our neighborhood is always outside.
Those squirrels are not going to hibernate yet.
Cats are walking around.
Isn’t it cold outside?
Dan made carbonara for dinner.
He wanted to tell me what is going on the football game,
but I have no idea.
We watched two movies on Showtime.
“True Grit” and “The Humans”
Both are good, but the later reminded us about life in NY apartment,
and it was terrible.
日曜日。早めに目が覚める。コーヒー。
夫がつくってくれたビスケットとハム。
ジャムを塗って食べる。
ニット帽を仕上げてしまう。
なんとか形になった。
別の色の毛糸でポンポンもつくってみたけれど、すごい毛がつくので却下。
写真を撮って梱包する。
大きくなる前に送らなくては。
午後、3時すぎかな、買い出しに出る。
今月はいつもの配達を頼まないことにしたので、
ちょいちょいと買い物をしなくては。
また例の大きなハムを買った。今回は36ドル。でもその価値は十分ある。
サンドイッチ20個は軽く作れるし、なによりおいしい。
町に人がぜんぜんいなくて、夕陽のなか不思議な雰囲気だった。
みんな家でアメフトでも見ているんだろう。
この時期、日曜はSunday Football、一日中どこかのチームが試合をしている
帰ってきたらセージが走ってきて出迎えてくれる。
今日は天気がいいからか、ずっと外にいるようだ。
近所のチャウチャウもずーっと外にいる。
猫も歩いているし、リスはまだ冬眠していない。
みんなすごいね。
夜は夫がつくってくれたカルボナーラ。
夫もアメフトをかけながら料理していて、画面の向こうが盛り上がると、
わたしに何があったのか聞いてくるけれど、
野球じゃない限りわたしに解説はできない。
今日もShowtimeで映画を見る。
適当に選んだらコーエン兄弟とスピルバーグだった西部劇 ”True Grit”と、
“The Humans”という現代のもの二本。
後者はニューヨークのアパートに住んだことがあればみんな知っている、
壁のシミとか、やたら多いパイプとか、謎の大きな音とかが強調されていて、ひーっとなった。
雪が降っている、と思ったら、上階の人が灰皿の掃除をしていた、とか。あはは。
