Friday. Dan’s off.
He made me to stay in bed little longer.
Coffee, great rye bread from the town called Poteros.
We went shopping first.
I wanted to buy potting soil at Ace,
and we got some groceries too.
I potted up Amish stuffing peppers.
Wednesday might be the first frost, and I am almost done potting.
While I was working on my postcard piece,
Dan prepared and cooked BBQ.
Roasted potatoes, beautiful big round eggplant from an organic farmer,
my peppers, and marinated chicken.
Very simple, and very good.
We took nap afterworlds.
Dan packed leftover for Joe who was supposed to come here today.
Mets was playing wild card game with San Diego.
Dalvish was too good.
Dan was too sad to watch till the end.
I didn’t feel good and couldn’t sleep well.
金曜日、夫お休みの日。
起き上がろうとすると止められる。ちょっと二度寝。
コーヒー、昨日買ってきてくれたおいしいライ麦パン。
まず買い出しから。
無くなりかけていた植え替え用の土を買えてほっとする。
スーパーにも行っていろいろと購入。
今日はアーミッシュ・スタッフィング・ペッパーを鉢上げ。
ここまできたら後少し。
来週半ばからぐっと冷えるみたいだから間に合いそうでよかった。
ポストカードの作品をつくっている間に、
夫がバーベキューの準備をしておいしいごはんをつくってくれた。
賀茂ナスのでかいのみたいな立派なナスをオーガニックの農家さんからもらったので、
それを焼いたらめちゃくちゃおいしかった。
ペッパー類いろいろ、ポテト、チキン。
シンプルでとてもおいしい。
食べたらお昼寝。
ジョーが来ると言っていたのでお裾分けをつめておく。
夕方からメッツのワイルドカード試合。
これは大リーグのみのルールなのかな？
地区優勝を逃した2位のチームが逆転できる仕組み。
ダルビッシュ選手のいるサンディエゴのチームと3試合対戦なのだけれど、
しょっぱなから負ける。
夫は悲しくなるので最後まで見られなかった。
今日は久しぶりに寝付けず。
おふとんのなかでごろごろしていた。
