Tuesday.
Dan left early for work.
I had to walk to work.
It was really cold.
A car had stopped by me, and a lady from two doors down asked me where I’m going.
She told me to get in the car, and drove me the hospital.
Wendy.
That was the first time to talk to her.
We had a long studies.
Which means I had time to read.
I finished the book.
It was not very conventional story, and I liked it.
There was a new character hopped in in the last few page.
The tragedy I was expecting didn’t happened but other thing happen.
There was not even one page about the wedding itself.
Wow.
I will remember some of little things about this book.
I went to the post office in lunch time to send a little thing I made yesterday.
There was a line, and an old woman was working hard.
I asked her if I need a label for that package, and she said no.
She squeezed the package through the gage and it was almost didn’t go.
$2.80 to Japan. Wow, I don’t know, but it’s out in the air now.
The sun came out and warmed up little, but still cold.
We had a patient wore shorts and sleeveless shirts….
We finished at 4, and I walked home.
Stopped at co-op.
Dan found me just before I made it to home.
Saige came running after the car wearing the skirt!!! Hahaha
So cute, and she looked happier.
I made ramen for dinner.
With carrot and daikon, kale from the garden.
We watched game 4 of world series which became terribly sad so quickly.
Then we got the first trick or treater who was Robin.
She was Kiki from Kiki’s delivery service.
Oh wow, so cute.
Concetta wrote Kiki’s advertisement in Japanese and it was really precious.
We thought it was maybe it as it got so cold, but then we had few more.
There was a boy with black suit with something on his cheek, and I asked what is he.
He was trying to explain to me, and I said “so you are zombie ninja?” And he goes “yes!!”
It was quieter but still fun halloween.
火曜日。
夫は早朝仕事へ。
わたしも用意して7時半に出る。
しっかり着込んで外へ出たものの、寒くてびっくりする。
と、2軒隣の人の車が停まって、どこまで行くの？と声をかけられる。
おじいさんとおばあさんとは話した事があるけれど、この女性は初めてだった。
病院へ出勤途中で、と言ったら、寒すぎるから送っていくわ、とのこと。
仕事先は全く別方向だけれど病院の前まで送ってくれた。
名前はウェンディ。おじいさんたちとの関係はよくわからないけれど、猫を外で遊ばせているのを見たことがある気がする。
今日は長めのスキャンが続いた。
つまり本を読む時間が多かった。
ついに読み終わる。
最後の最後で新しい登場人物が出てきたり、予想していた悲劇は起こらなかったものの、別の形でそれは突然もたらされる。
結婚式の描写もなんと1ページ以下！
はー、型にはまってなくてとても良かった。
ストーリーより、細かい描写がずっと印象に残りそうな本。
お昼休みに昨日作ったものを郵便局から出しに行く。
行列ができていて、疲れたおばあさんが一人で対応していた。
普通のエアメールの厚さかどうか微妙なところだったけれど、
厚紙の型に無理やり嵌めて、いけるやろ、とニヤッとして2ドル80セントで日本まで送ってくれた。
うーん、心配。でももう仕方がない。飛んでいけ～。
午後は少し太陽が出て温まったものの、まだ寒い。
でもタンクトップに半パンの患者さんがいてびっくりした。
いるなぁこういう小学生男子。この人は50代だったけど。
4時に終了。
歩いて帰宅。
もうすぐ家に着くというところで夫が追いついて乗せてくれた。
と、セージが走ってきた。
キラキラしたチュチュっぽいスカートを履いている。
あはははは、めっちゃ可愛い。心なしかいつもよりはしゃいでいるみたいに見える。
夜ご飯はラーメン。
お庭のニンジン、ケールで簡単に。
ワールドシリーズは昨日から急に一方的にテキサスが勝つようになってしまって、ちょっと痛々しい。
ラーメンを食べながら見た。
暗くなり始めたけれど、寒いから子供達はあまりこないかもね、と言いながら食べる。
と、コンチェッタが娘さんのロビンと来てくれた。
衣装が何かわかる？と聞かれてよく見たら、魔女の宅急便のキキ！
ホウキにキキのパンでできた看板がかかっていて、そこにコンチェッタが見よう見まねの日本語で、
「おとどけものいたします キキ」と書いていて、めちゃくちゃかわいかった。
「ユウコには分かってもらえるから見せに行かなきゃ！」と言ってきてくれたらしい。
外は2度。
寒すぎてもう子供達来ないかもね、でもロビン来てくれて良かったと話していると、その後数組来てくれた。
大体ディズニーとか、スーパーヒーローとかキャラクターが多い。
よくわからない黒いスーツみたいなのに、ほっぺたに何かつけている子がいて、
「君は何？」と聞くと、一生懸命説明してくれたけれどよくわからなかった。
「あ、ゾンビ忍者ってこと？」というと「そう！」とのこと。
あはは、ほっぺのは、腐った皮膚の演出かな。
去年よりだいぶ静かだったけれど、楽しいハロウィンだった。
やっぱり気温は重要なのね。
