We slept until 9 again.
Cloudy day.
Coffee, oatmeal.
I recycled the extra clay.
Then we went to Ace and co-op.
We got deer alert.
It is supposed to be silent to human, but we could hear.
Also, Saige seems like don’t mind the sound...
Hmm.
Dan was working on to close up the gap in between the bathroom and the middle room outside.
He was happy with his work.
I cut down withered plants in the garden.
Usually I want to leave sunflower for birds, but deer chopped them down this year.
I harvested chicory seeds.
The Chinese cabbage is getting there.
Dan made ham sandwiches for lunch.
Then we had a nap.
The sun came out while we were sleeping.
It was like sleeping in the light.
We went outside again. It got windy, but not cold.
I feel like this strong wind blowing off all sad news.
We put the light in Jack-o’-lantern.
We bought some chocolates, but no one would come tonight.
Ate some of them.
I cooked eggplant and we ate with rice.
All Italian eggplant is from Art.
He was a professional concert pianist.
We love him and his vegetables.
We watched stand-up comedy.
今日も9時前まで寝ていた。
曇り空。
コーヒー、オートミール。
余った土を再生。
それから買い出し。
車につけるシカ避けの笛？なるものを買ってみる。
人間には聞こえない周波数の音、ということだったけれど、
ふたつあるうちのひとつが、口を当てて吹いてみると普通に音が出る。
セージも特に嫌がってない。あれ？
夫はバスルームの外の隙間を埋めていた。
ここはモバイルホームと木造の家をなかば無理やり繋いでいる部分で、
いろんな隙間がある。
細かい仕事が得意な夫は楽しそうだった。
わたしはお庭の枯れた植物を刈ったり。
ヒマワリの枝は残しておくと冬の間の鳥たちの食糧になるのだけれど、
今年はシカにほとんど倒されてしまったので、そこで折ってマルチに足す。
チコリの種を採取。
ハクサイがちょっとそれらしくなってきた。
お昼は夫がハムサンドイッチをつくってくれた。
それからぐっとお昼寝。
うとうとしているうちに、太陽が出て、外が明るくなってきた。
部屋の中も光に溢れていて、きれい。
光の中で寝ているみたいだった。
夕方もまた外へ。
風が強く、なにか重たいものを吹き飛ばしてくれそうな気がする。
ソウルの事件の後、友達は無事だったけれど、悲しくてしんどかった。
風に乗って祈るような午後。
今日もジャカランタンに火を灯す。
いちおうチョコレートを買ってきたけれど、今日は誰もこないだろう。
さっそくつまみぐい。
夜は麻婆茄子風のものをさっとつくってご飯にかけて食べる。
おいしい。
今年はたくさんナスを食べられてうれしかったな。
後半は夫が仕事先でもらってきたもので、アートというおじさんが育てているオーガニックのもの。イタリアのナスらしい。
アートはもともとプロのコンサートピアニストらしい。気になる～。
夜はスタンダップコメディを見て、笑って寝た。
