Woke up 8:30 and started working before 9.
First we cleaned up the shoes and made place for new shoe case.
It felt so good!
Then I loaded the car with recycling things and we went to the recycle center.
Back home we ate sandwich from co-op.
Dan was working on the window trim.
I decided to dig up potatoes.
There were so many small potatoes, and all of them has beautiful pink skin.
wow!
I loved growing the potatoes.
While drying them on the ground, I tilled the area and plant the cover crop.
I also harvested bergamot.
When we were at the recycle center, Mariah told me to cut back for overwinter.
I made some tea again.
In the evening, we boiled the smallest potatoes and ate with snacks.
They were creamy and delicious!!
８時半にアラームで起きて９時までに動き出す。
まず靴をきれいにして、場所をあけて、夫がつくった棚を設置する。
おお、いい感じ。
それから、段ボールをカットして車につみこみ、リサイクルセンターへ。
家にもどってコープで買ってきたサンドイッチを食べる。
晴れて暖かいので、じゃがいもを掘ることにした。
夫は窓枠をつくっていた。
レッドポテト、掘り起こしてみると、小さいのから大きいのまでたくさんできていた。
皮がすごく薄くて、レッドというより、ピンク！それもショッキングピンクできれいだった。
傷つけないように手で掘ったけれど、石がおおいところだからどうしても皮がめくれてしまった。
そのまま少し乾かす。
ベルガモットも収穫。
リサイクルセンターでマライアに会ったので冬越しの仕方を聞いてみたら、
根本まで刈りもどして、と教えてくれたのだ。
この、刈りもどす、つまりカットバック、が枯れてしまいそうで躊躇していたのだけど、
お墨付きをもらったのでやってみる。
葉を干して、枯れた花から種も採れそうだった。
またお茶を淹れた。
夕方にじゃがいもを室内にうつして、いちばん小さい子たちを茹でて食べた。
ねっとりしていて、味が濃い。
新鮮なじゃがいもってこんな味なのかー。新じゃがともまたちがうような気がする。
今日も楽しかった。
