Dan worked half day today. Left home 6:30.
Coffee.
Leftover miso soup and rice.
After cleaning up the kitchen, I took shower.
Dan came home, and made lunch.
Quesadilla, eggs, beans, and guacamole.
Today was the first day of Okanogan Family Faire.
Aka Barter Faire.
Dan brought grapes, garlic, peppers and limes to barter.
When we arrived there around 11:30, there were only few cars in line.
Staffs were wearing tutus.
We bought usual tamales.
Their tent was three times bigger than the one they have at farmer’s market.
Michael told us that this was their standard before pandemic.
We gave him some limes.
It got hot while we were strolling.
I found this cute red hat which fit to my head,
and Dan bartered it with bag of grape and other stuff.
Some of things are expensive, but also there are free tables.
I also bought seeds.
After three hours, we decided to go home.
And saw long line of cars. Wow.
Most of people comes from far and camp out there.
Not many people from our town, it seemed.
Back home, and had nap.
I had weird headache and rest in the bed.
Dan made rice and steak for dinner.
But I couldn’t eat.
金曜日。
今日は半日出勤の夫、早朝に出発。
コーヒー。
昨日の残りのお味噌汁とごはん。
片付けたりいろいろして、シャワーを浴びていたら夫帰宅。
わたしが作品の写真を撮っている間に、
ケーサディーヤ、目玉焼き、ビーンズ、ワカモレのお昼ご飯をつくってくれた。
今日はオカノガン・ファミリー・フェアの初日。
通称バーター・フェア。バーターは物々交換のこと。
わたしたちも家にあったブドウとライム、ペッパー、ニンニクを紙袋につめて持っていく。
歴史のあるヒッピーのお祭りだけれど、お酒の販売は禁止で、子供たちがたくさんいるのでとても平和。
11時半ごろに行ってみると、まだ看板も出ていなくて、車が４台くらい並んでいるだけだった。
係のひとがみんなふつうの服の上からチュチュを履いていてかわいかった。
まわりはじめてすぐ、いつものタマレ屋さんに会う。
いつものお店の3倍くらいの規模のお店を建てていた。
パンデミックの前はいつもこれでやっていたそう。
タマレを購入して、ライムをあげる。
出店を冷やかしながら歩いているとけっこうあつい。
あるお店でかわいいチェックのハンチング帽があって、
しかもめずらしくサイズが合ったので、
ブドウとライムとニンニクと交換してもらった。わーい。
他にもFreeと書いてあるテーブルがあって、そこでいろいろ入手したり、
地元の種屋さんから種をゲットしたり、たのしい。
気づいたら3時間くらい歩いていて、今日はそれで引き上げることにする。
帰り道、車が50台くらい並んでいて、ああ、早目に来てよかった、と思った。
ほとんどの人は遠くからキャンプしに来るのだろう。
近場から来ている人はあまりいなさそうだった。
帰宅してお昼寝。
というか、わたしは眠れず。
それから夜までなんだか頭痛がした。
日に当たりすぎたかもしれない。
夜は夫がご飯をたいてお肉を焼いていたけれど食べられず。
早目に寝た。
