Sunday.

It was beautiful day.

Dan made eggs and toast.

I did laundry and went out to the garden.

I moved wood chips to cover the garden.

Picked more stones, and pulled some weeds.

Tomorrow we have frost warning, so I cleaned the cucumber.

There are small ones still growing, so I harvested them.

Dan went up on the roof with his new tool, big 4x4 with rope attached.

When he dropped that into the chimney, those blocks moved and it was so scary.

He uses the chimney as his support on the steep roof.

That’s it. We can’t do anything else.

We had frozen pizza for lunch.

With cucumber and tomato salad.

We went to get some compost for my garden.

10 bags.

We put them over the new bed.

As irrigation water has stopped for season, I gathered and put the horse away.

Put wood chips on strawberry patch.

There are many things to do.

I used some of winter squash to made soup.

I roasted it with tomato, garlic, and shallots.

Meanwhile, I cooked carrots, celery and last eggplants in the pot.

Combined everything and add water, soy milk and miso.

It was really good.

We listened to the baseball.

It was close game and they just couldn’t score.

We listened to the music and dance at night.

Until I wasn’t able to keep my eyes open.

日曜日。

今日もいい天気。

朝ごはんは夫が目玉焼きとトーストを用意してくれた。

洗濯、着替えてお庭へ。

お庭のあちこちにウッドチップスを敷き詰めていく。

石を拾って、草引きも。

明日は霜注意報が出ているので、キュウリを片付けた。

小さいのがいくつか成っていて、収穫。

夫がまた屋根に登って、煙突問題に取り掛かる。

今度はしっかりした角材に金具とロープをつけてそれを落とす作戦。

角材を入れる時、ブロックでできている煙突がぐらりと動いたのが下から見えた。

えええ。

屋根は角度が付いているから、支えにしている煙突が壊れたら夫も危ない。

これはもうお手上げだな。

お昼は冷凍のピザを焼く。

キュウリとトマトのサラダも。

午後買い出しに出て、コンポストを10袋購入。

ガーデンベッドに敷き詰める。

用水路ももう止まっていたので、ホースを巻き上げて仕舞う。

イチゴのベッドにマルチを敷いたり、あれこれとすることがたくさんある。

昨日収穫したカボチャのうち、スクワッシュを使ってスープをつくる。

スクワッシュ、トマト、ニンニク、シャロットをオーブンでロースト。

その間にニンジン、セロリ、これも最後の小さなナスを鍋で炒める。

ローストした野菜を足して、水、豆乳、味噌を足して出来上がり。

スクワッシュは栗みたいな味でとてもおいしかった。

野球中継をきく。

なかなか接戦で、何度もチャンスがあったのに点が入らなくて負けちゃった。

夜、夫と音楽を聴きながら踊る。

眠くて目を開けていられなくなるまで遊んだ。
