Woke up before 9.
Had coffee.
Then Dan made his favorite bagel with cream cheese, slice of tomato, and tiny bit of raw onion.
It was great.
The snow was maybe 3 inches.
I know it will snow tomorrow and after that,
but I cleaned the driveway anyway.
Also I put payments in the mailbox.
I got used to the new knitting.
Finished one sock already.
I put it on and started the other one.
Dan made fun of me.
He was cleaning up the mobile home.
There’re many holes everywhere.
This is not built for this kind of weather.
Those windows are too thin, we can feel draft on the floor.
But we love this 60’s-70’s taste.
It will be Dan’s studio, writing place, library, shed, closet, and sunroom for my plants.
I made same kind of ramen.
With pork this time.
Oh, we moved lemon tree from mobile home to the kitchen.
Those were from the seeds of lemons Dan ate in Brooklyn.
And Yuzu from my aunt.
It’s too bad that we cannot plant them outside in this climate.
They look happy in the kitchen though.
９時前に起きた。
コーヒー。
それから、夫がおすすめの、ベーグルにクリームチーズと玉ねぎをほんのすこし、というのを食べた。おいしい。
昨日の雪は１０センチくらいだろうか。
明日も明後日も降るとわかっているけれど、
いちおう雪かきした。
ついでに郵便箱に公共料金の支払いを入れる。
編み物はだいぶ慣れて、一気に一足編み終わった。
最後綴じるところも、そんなに難しくなかった。
片方はいたまま、すぐにまた片方を編み出したので夫に笑われた。
夫はモバイルホームの片付けをしていた。
よくみるとあちこちに換気のためなのか、穴があって、
それはネズミも来るだろうなという構造。
窓もぺらっとしたものだし、この地域に合った建物ではない。
でも６０ー７０年代のテイストがなんだか好きだ。
最終的には夫のスタジオ、書庫、倉庫、クローゼット、わたしのサンルーム、ということになると思う。
夕方にラーメン。
今日は豚ミンチで前回とおなじ感じの仕上げにした。
そうだ、モバイルホームに置いていたレモンの苗木がしゅんとしていたので、
二日前にキッチンに移動した。
これは夫が食べたレモンの種を植えたらどんどん育ったものと、
日本の叔母がくれたゆずの種が混ざっている。
ここは柑橘類には寒すぎて、外に植えられないのが残念なところ。
水をやっていたらまた元気になった。
