Today was off again.

We slept in.

I finished my book before Dan woke up.

Hmm.

I know what they want to say, but, it went so fast in the end, and there are so many loose ends.

It might be more realistic in that way, but still, I was puzzled.

We made pumpkin soup together.

Dan wanted to put canned corn and soy sausage.

We added everything we can think of, and there was little space left for pumpkin.

It was delicious and so it was all good.

We went to the recycle center after lunch.

We recycled cans and went to the thrift store.

I got lots of index cards and so it was 10$.

We also went to Ace to buy potting soil.

It’s getting close to start winter sowing.

Back home, we worked on making firewoods.

We cut down two branches.

Some parts of trees are covered with moth and the middle part is almost like powder.

I don’t know how long they can stand like this.

We had soup again.

Dan ate frozen pizza too.

With this very demanding job, he’s lost lots of wait, and trying to gain some.

But I worry that he gains bad fat.

I was so sleepy after dinner, and we took nap together.

I’ve been sleeping well.

The news was horrifying.

Our live is so peaceful and quiet.

I want to keep my mind clear and see through what is really going on.

今日もお休み。

たっぷり寝坊する。

夫が起きてくる前に本を読み終えた。

うううーん、なんだかすっきりしない。

言いたいことはわかるけれど、後半の畳みかけが速すぎて、回収していない部分が多すぎる。

それはつまり、実際の人生に近いということなのかもしれないけれど、ちょっと混乱した。

夫と一緒にパンプキンスープをつくる。

夫はコーンと大豆ソーセージを入れたいと所望。

あれもこれも、と入れて行ったら、肝心のパンプキンの入る隙間がほとんどなかったけれど、美味しくできたのでよしとする。

食後にリサイクルセンターへ。

空き缶をリサイクルして、今日もいろいろ物色する。

インデックスカードをたくさん購入したので、今日は10ドル。

それからホームセンターで土を買って帰る。

そろそろウィンターソウイングの時期だ。

帰宅してからまた薪づくり。

明かに枯れている枝を2本落として切っていく。

表皮が苔に覆われて、芯が粉みたいになっている箇所もあって、近いうちに業者さんに入ってもらわないと危ないかもなと思う。

夜ごはんもスープ。

夫はさらに冷凍ピザも食べていた。

今の仕事はかなり体力仕事なので、体重が落ちてきたことを気にしている。

でもこの年齢で、体重を増やす方法はかなり気をつけた方がいいよなぁと思う。

食後すごく眠くなって、1時間くらい一緒に横になった。

夜も早めにおふとんに入る。

このところよく眠れている。

ニュースはとても恐ろしいことになっている。

わたしたちの日々はこんなに静かなのに。

表面の騒ぎに惑わされずに、大事なことをみていたい。
