yuko's diary 1/29/24

Monday.

Dan left home earlier than usual.

I woke up with him.

When we went out, the creek was making loud sound. 

It’s melted already.

It was scary to listening in the dark.

I worked on homepage, and took hot bath.

Then cleaning and laundry.

I cut flannel dress into square pieces.

I don’t know how to quilt or anything, but I will try.

Also finished breaking shirt into parts.

It needs lots of cloth to make shirt.

While working on the fabric, I started cooking dinner.

Rice, miso soup, kale and tofu.

Same usual stuff. But healthy.

Dan came home around 4.

We rested for a while and had early dinner.

It was so foggy at this point.

I heard a cat last night, and so did he.

We watched Queer Eye season 8.

Dan kept complaining but started crying before I do.

Haha

We went to bed early.

月曜日。

夫はいつもより早めに出勤。

わたしも一緒に起きた。

見送りに出ると、ざーっという大きな音に驚く。

凍っていた小川が溶けたんだ。

早いなぁ。

暗い中で聞く轟音は迫力がある。

ホームページのことを進めて、ひと息ついてからお風呂。

しっかり温まってから掃除。

洗濯機を回す。

ネルのワンピースは特に計らずに目測で四角に切っていく。

パッチワークもキルティングもやったことがないし、よくわからないけれど、なんとなくでやってみようと思う。

シャツの方も完全にパーツに分解できた。

再構築するには思っていたよりたくさん布が要りそう。

さて、いい布がどこかにあるかな。古いものを探すか、新しく購入するか。

いろんなプロジェクトが同時進行している。

お昼から作業の片手間にのんびり夕食作り。

ご飯を炊いて、ジャガイモとタマネギのお味噌汁を作る。

ケールを炒め、豆腐ステーキを焼く。

本当にいつも同じものだけど、今はこの、同じこと、基本的なことが大事な気がする。

夫は4時ごろに帰宅。

しばし休憩してから早めのご飯にする。

その頃には外はすごい霧。

昨日の夜中、外で猫が鳴いていた気がしたと言ったら、夫も聞いたとのこと。

やっぱり！

遊びに来てたのかな。

クィア・アイの最新版を見始めた。

ブツブツ文句言いながらも一緒に見てくれて、わたしより先に泣いている夫。

なぜかニナ・シモンの曲をいくつか聞く。

早めに寝たと思う。
