Thursday.
Dan went for work.
I had so much to do today.
I did first laundry with lots of scrubs.
Cleaned the room, and wrote mails.
I had bath, and after that, I had second batch of laundry.
Went outside to scatter native plants seeds over snow.
The snow was melting fast, it was a last chance.

I found big foot prints of raccoon around the compost pile.
It was huge.
I worked on the homepage.
This time it’s an update so tried not to disturb the current one.
I made rice, miso soup with pumpkin and sweet potatoes.
Didn’t eat anything yet, so I had a bowl of soup for lunch.
Then I did work so hard on winter sowing.
This time I got big container to put lots of small pots in it.
I drilled holes, and filled pots with soil, sow the seeds, label it… times 90.
It was a lot of work.
It took me 2 or 3 hours to finish.
I cleaned it, and finished making dinner.
Kale and tofu as usual.
Dan came home after I finished ironing.
He went to pick up groceries.
We organized them, and had dinner.
We watched men’s semifinal.
It was Djokovic vs Sinner.
Dan was praying for Djokovic to have diarrhea, and when he was not playing well, Dan felt so bad.
Haha.
He fell asleep in the third set, but I kept watching it to the last.
Phew.
木曜日。
夫を見送って、コーヒー。
今日はすることがたくさんある。
洗濯物から。もらったスクラブを一気に洗う。
部屋を片付けて、メールを書く。
お風呂に入って、あがったら洗濯物2回目。
ネイティブの野草やお花の種を雪の上に蒔く。
雪がどんどん溶けていっているので今日が最後のチャンスだった。
間にあってよかった。

コンポストの近くに、これは絶対ラクーンの足跡、というのがたくさんあった。
爪が2センチくらいあって、セージの足跡より大きい。
アライグマというとかわいいイメージがあったけれど、アメリカでは街の害獣として悪役扱いだ。
ホームページの作業を。
現行のページに支障が出ないようにして、まずたたき台をつくっていく。
どういう仕上がりになるか楽しみ。
ひと段落ついたところで、ご飯を炊いて、カボチャとサツマイモのお味噌汁をつくる。
まだ何も食べてなかったことに気づいて、味見ついでにお昼ご飯にする。
ここからが大忙し。
プラスチックの衣装ケースの底と蓋にドリルで小さな穴をいくつも開けて、中に7センチくらいの鉢を並べる。
これに種を植えて蓋をして、外に置いておく。
ウィンター・ソウイングの別のバージョン。
小さな鉢90個に、野菜、ハーブ、染料になる植物の種を蒔き終わるまで、2時間くらいかかったかも。
出来上がったものを外に置くとすごい達成感。
この頃にはもう雪はほとんど溶けていた。
片付けて、夕飯作りの続き。
ケールを炒め、豆腐ステーキを焼く。
友達とチャットしながら仕上げて、アイロンがけしていると夫が帰宅。
月一の食料品配布の受け取りに行ってくれた。
届いたものを片付けて、ドライフルーツを瓶に詰めたりする。
干し柿を買ってみたけれど、日本のみたいに柔らかいのではなくて、もっとドライアップルに近い。
輪切りで干されていてかわいらしい。素朴な甘さ。
夜、7時半から男子テニスの決勝戦。
王者ジョコビッチと、ひょろっとしたイタリアの若者、ヤニック・シナー。
シナーに勝ってほしい夫、「ジョコビッチがお腹を下しますように」と祈っていたら、本当に調子が悪いみたいで、最初の2セットあっけなく負けてしまった。
すると途端に申し訳なくなる夫。あはは。
夫は途中で寝てしまったので、台所で最後まで観戦。
4セット目で勝った。
決勝戦は真夜中なので見られない。これがオーストラリアオープンをあまり見ない最大の理由だった。
ひさしぶりに夜更かししてしまった。
