Lunar New Year.
It was sunny! First time in few weeks.
New year’s day has this special ability.
We woke up slowly and had coffee.
Shower.
We went for a walk before noon.
The sun was so nice.
Many people were out with their dogs.
Back home, I didn’t want to go inside.
Checking my garden.
Saige running towards me.
We walked around the yard.
Then I planted Norway Spruce.
It came from this tree planting organization.
When it arrived in November, the soil was already frozen.
I planted 10 of them 6 feet apart, along side the creek.
Saige came and lay down on the snow.
She was barking at people on the other side of creek.
She thinks she’s protecting me.
Dan came to have some sun.
After I planted them, I covered them with Christmas tree leftovers.
Hope it will work.
Dan made pasta for dinner.
The sun made a day much longer.
We enjoyed it till the last beam of the sunset.
There weren't much games I cared today.
We watched SNL instead.
We did stretching.
Quiet but fun weekend.
旧正月。
とても久しぶりに晴れている。
お正月の、このパワーはほんとうにすごい。
ゆっくりおきてコーヒー。
シャワー。
お昼前に散歩に出る。
スーパーマーケットまで歩いて行って帰ってくるだけだけど、
太陽がとても気持ちよかった。
みんな犬を散歩している。
初めて見る犬が多かった。
帰ってもなんだか部屋の中に戻る気にならなくて、お庭の様子を見て回った。
セージが走ってくる。
一緒にお庭の散歩。
それから、オウシュウトウヒを植えた。
これは、植樹の団体に寄付をしたら届いたもの。
秋に届いた時にはもう、土が凍っていて植えられなかった。
寒い部屋で待機させておいたのだけれど、大丈夫そうかなと思う。
目隠しになるように、6フィート間隔をあけて、小川沿いに植えていく。
ちょうどコンポストのある位置。
10本あるので、どんどん植えていく。
セージが近くに来て、雪の上に寝そべっていた。
小川の反対側には小さなアパートがあって、共同のゴミ箱があるのだけれど、
ゴミを捨てに来た人に吠えたりしていた。
わたしを守っているつもりなのかもしれない。
夫も出てきて、日向ぼっこしていた。
植え終わったら根元に、カットしておいたクリスマスツリーの枝を被せていく。
もうこの頃には冷え込んできていた。
うまく根つきますように。
夫がパスタをつくってくれて食べる。
夕焼けがとてもきれいだった。
太陽が出るだけで、いちにちがぐっと長く感じる
今日はなんだか興味のある試合もなく、他のショーを見たりしていた。
ちゃんとストレッチと腹筋する。
静かだけれど、なかなか楽しい週末だった。
