yuko's diary 1/2/26

Dan was off today.

We slept a lot.

Dan made us burrito for lunch.

He made himself breakfast burrito, and me a fish one.

I loved it.

We went for a walk after lunch.

It was cloudy, but not cold.

The snow was almost gone.

We walked to the park with pool first time for a while.

Back home, we worked on making firewood.

We cut off a big branch off of black walnut tree.

Then we cut it to small pieces.

We also worked on tarp over Dan’s car.

Good work.

I made chicken, brown rice, broccoli and red cabbage for dinner.

Dan was talking with his friend.

We also called his sister.

He made fire, and we took it easy.

I wanted to finish my book, but Dan kept talking to me, so I stopped trying.

It’s only few more pages.

I don’t know how they finish this story here.

We went to bed earlier than yesterday.

今日は夫もお休み。

たっぷり寝坊する。

お昼は夫がブリトーを作ってくれた。

自分にはブレックファストブリトー、わたしの分は最後のマヒマヒひときれ。

おいしい。

食後に歩きに出かける。

曇っているけれど寒くない。

雪はほぼ全部溶けていた。

ひさしぶりにプールのある方の公園まで歩いた。

帰宅した後は、一緒に薪づくり。

黒胡桃の木の枝を落として、薪にしていく。

それから、小川沿いの木の間にタープを張って、車の雪除けにした。

ふう、しっかり働いた。

夜ごはんは鶏もも肉がメイン。

玄米ごはん、ブロッコリーの甘酢炒め、紫キャベツのナムルを添える。

夫は友達と電話していた。

それから夫の妹と電話して、暖炉に火を入れて、後はのんびりする。

読みかけの本があと数ページで終わるので、読み終わりたいけれど、夫が話しかけてくるので諦める。

しかし、あと数ページで解決できるような話じゃないけれど。

昨日よりは早めに寝たと思う。
