Sunday.
We woke up late again around 10.
Oops.
Coffee and toast.
Around noon, we decided to go for a walk to the co-op.
Saige followed us but gave up when the neighbored dogs barking at her.
At co-op, while we were shopping, we bump into Concetta.
We meet her everywhere we go.
She was volunteering to decorate the front window.
When she was showing me her work outside.
A young men who saying he’s experiencing homelessness, asked us if we work here and if he can charge his phone.
Suddenly, an old guy on truck drove the other side of road shouted “who’s paying your phone bill?”
Clearly he didn’t like that young guy, but that was weird thing to say.
Me, Concetta, him, and other customer were left confused.
Back home, I heated up the cream tomato soup with pasta, and Dan had ham sandwich.
Their food is really good.
It’s been while since the last time we ate them.
It got fogged outside.
Almost white.
Phew, we were right to go out early.
I opened my garden note and made plan.
Where to sow all plants.
And also where to plant all new trees as well.
I ordered some trees last year, and there are several trees growing inside.
And I’m expecting some seedlings from an organization which is planting tree all over the world.
Many of trees would be planted by the creek, but some of them will be other side of the property to cover the sights.
And I’ll plant small ones by the house to keep the summer heat bearable.
I made ramen for dinner.
With kale and carrots and it was great.
We watched “The God of Summit”
It was based on Japanese comic, but made in France, so almost all characters are Japanese but speak French.
That was confusing but the drawing was so beautiful.
Climbing mountain is the last thing we want to do, though.
We went to bed saying that we’ll wake up earlier tomorrow.
日曜日。
今日も起きたら10時近く。
おお、ずれてきた。
コーヒーとトースト。
お昼ごろ、なにか食べないと、でも散歩もしたい、ということで、歩いてコープへ。
セージがついてきたけれど、橋をわたったところの犬の剣幕に押されて帰っていった。
コープでいろいろ物色してたら、コンチェッタがいた。
ボランティアでバレンタインのウィンドウ飾りをしていたみたい。
どこに行っても会うね、といって笑う。
コンチェッタと一緒に外に出て飾りを見ている時に、ホームレス状態だという男性に、携帯が充電できないか聞かれる。
すると、向かい側の道を通りかかったトラックのおじいさんが、
「その携帯代は誰が払っているんだ？」と叫んで走り去った。
わたし、コンチェッタ、男性、さらに店のお客さんは「？？？」となった。
罵倒したつもりなんだろうけど、変な感じだった。
みんなで、なんだあいつ、といって解散した。
的を得ない悪意は滑稽だし、本人の弱さを晒すだけだと思う。
帰宅後、買ってきたクリームトマトパスタを温める。
夫はハムサンドイッチ。
ここのデリはどれもおいしい。
ひさしぶりに食べた。
急に外が霧でまっしろ。
歩いている時はうっすら青空も見えたのに。
先に散歩にいってよかった。
お庭のノートを開いて、どこになにを植えるかを決める。
今回はややこしいかなと思ったけれど、意外とするすると決まった。
それから、木をどこに植えるかも考える。
去年すでに購入したもの、種から育てているものに加えて、
植樹をする団体に寄付したら、苗を送ってくれるのでそれらの植える位置を決める。
多くは小川にそって植える。
それから反対側にも植えて、お隣のガラクタを眺めなくてもいいようにする。
家の周りにも植えて、夏の日除けにしたいけれど、これは種類をじっくり選ばないといけない。
夜ご飯はラーメン。
ケールを炒めたものとニンジンの金平を載せて。
シンプルだけどおいしい。
『神々の山嶺』を見た。
日本の漫画をフランスでアニメ映画化したものらしい。
日本人がフランス語で話しているのを、英語字幕で読むのはちょっと頭が混乱したけれど、
東京の街並みや、ヒマラヤ山脈の描写がものすごくよかった。
特に日本の街並みの描き方って、ジブリか、ふつうのアニメしか見たことがなかったから、とても新鮮だった。
詳細なのだけれど、抑えられたトーン。
看板とかも凝ってる！じっくり見てしまった。
先日ヒマラヤの地震のドキュメンタリーを見ていたので、描写がそのまま入ってくる。 いいもの見たな〜。
明日はマーティン・ルーサー・キング・ジュニア・デイ。
今日より早めに起きようねと言って寝る。
