Thursday.
Dan went for work.
I was somehow busy in the morning.
I started making butternut squash soup and took shower.
It felt good.
Then I worked on translation and art work while listening to the radio.
I was supposed to go to the studio to glaze, but I missed the timing to contact Concetta.
So I decided to go there at night.
I started fire in the evening.
Dan came home around 5.
He worked in rain.
We rested while, had soup, and went to the studio.
I glazed 4 bowls and loaded into the kiln.
There was a student so we tried not to interrupt the class, but Dan and he, Jack started talking.
It turned out that Jack is working for Tom Bretz, one of the ex owner of our property.
He told me that he was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan.
As far as I concern, it is not same as living in Japan, but oh well, he was the fifth person to tell me that.
Jack was casual but very clean, and we can tell he’s working for Tom who is so clean.
We left them to do the class.
When we got home, Saige ran to the car, very excited.
Oh, what are you doing in the rain?
She came to the house and had biscuits and Dan dried her up.
We told her to go home and closed the door.
Dan’s sister called so we called her back.
We missed our niece’s birthday, shoot.
Watched “The Bear” again.
It reminds me about Weiners they are also from Chicago.
The people on the show is fans of White Sox, not Cubs, so that’s different, though.

夫は仕事。
今朝は朝からなんだかいろいろすることがあってばたばたした。
バターナッツスクワッシュのスープを仕込んでからシャワーを浴びる。
すっきり。
その後はラジオを聴きながら、翻訳の注釈を書いたり、アートワークにとりかかったりする。
午後に釉がけにいくはずだったけれど、コンチェッタと連絡を取り合うタイミングがずれて、
夜に行くことになった。
夕方に薪ストーブに火を入れた。
夫は5時前に帰宅。1日雨の中仕事だったそう。
しばらく一緒に休んで、スープを食べてから、7時前にスタジオへ行く。
ボウルが5つ、新しい釉薬を開けて筆で塗っていく。
やっぱり薄いのでなかなか難しい。
コンチェッタは生徒さんがひとり来ていたので、最初は静かにしていたけれど、
途中で夫と生徒さんがおしゃべりしはじめた。
聞いてみると、彼、ジャックは、うちの家の元の持ち主の、トムのところで働いているらしい。
昔、イワクニの基地にいたよ、とのこと。まただ、これでたぶん5人目。
米軍基地に赴任していたことを、日本に住んでいたと言われるのはすごい違和感があるけれどいつも流している。
ジャックはカジュアルだけれど清潔感のある服装で、ここに移住して半年、トムと働いている（トムは綺麗好きなカウボーイ）というのも納得だった。
クラスの邪魔しないように早めに切り上げて帰る。
家に着いたら、セージが車を追いかけてきて、興奮して車の周りを走っていた。
え、なんで外にいるの？雨も降っていて真っ暗なのに。
うちまでついてきたので、ビスケットをあげて、体を拭いてあげた。
セージはドアが開いていても、うちの中には入らない。
もう帰りなね、と言ってドアを閉める。
夫の妹から電話があったので折り返す。
ボウルは無事届いたとのこと。
いろいろおしゃべり。姪の誕生日を逃してしまったことに気づく。しまった。
夜はまた ”The Bear” を見る。
家族間でぎゃーぎゃー言い合っているのを見て、ワイナー家はシカゴの人たちだな～と思う。
みんな口が悪いけれど、愛がないわけじゃない。
喧嘩からハグするまでが短い。
シカゴにはふたつ野球チームがあって、このドラマではみんなホワイトソックスのファンで、夫の家族はカブスだから、そこは違う。
ニューヨークがヤンキースファンとメッツファンにぱっきり分かれているのと同じようなことなんだろうな～、おもしろい。
