Wednesday.
I walked to work again.
Today I wore big boots though.
Some parts on the road looked as if it’s dry, but actually frozen.
It was not too busy or too slow.
We cannot say “slow” or “quiet” to each other because it makes it busy day.
So we say S word, or Q word. Haha.
Today I said, we didn’t have any phone call from the floor or ER, and she was like not so fast! We have two more hours! Haha.
Well, it’s better to have no emergency.
I finally finished reading 500 pages book.
The story was very exciting to the very end, so I was thinking if it’s really ending.
The whole book was like a puzzle.
You can see the trick only on the last half though.
Like climbing, you work hard first, and you can enjoy the scenery in the second half.
It was fun read.
I told the last patient that I’m from Japan.
He knew about the airplane accident and the earthquake.
He had lived near Seattle for long time. I see.
I finished at 4, and walked home.
Dan came to pick me up and met me on the way.
The sunset was so beautiful.
We ate huge salad together and baked frozen lasagna.
I only can eat one bite.
I watched tennis documentary on Netflix.
It was very exciting, and I was surprised how much I already forgot.
In reality they just started the new season, so it was great timing.
At midnight, South Africa v. Israel on ICJ.
I prayed and went to sleep.

今日も歩いてお仕事へ。
流石にがっしりしたブーツを履いていく。
一見乾いたように見えても凍っていたりするので、まだまだ雪国の経験が足りない。
そんなに忙しくもなく、暇でもなく。
今日はのんびり(slow) だねとか、静か(quiet) だねと言った瞬間に忙しくなるというジンクスがあって、みんな結構信じているので、隠語のようにSワード、Qワードと言ったりする。
昨日も今日も救急も入院患者さんの追加もないねと言ったら、しっ、まだあと2時間あるから！と言われる。あはは。
そしてもちろん救急はないほうがいいのだ。
ついに読み終わった。500ページ越えは久しぶり。
最後まで事件が起こるので、え、これでまとまるの、と思いつつ読み進める。
裏表紙に書評の引用がたくさん載っていて、パズルみたいにカチカチっとはまっていくというのが最もピッタリくると感じる。
でもそれも半分以上読み進めないと見えてこないので、ご褒美のような感じ。
ちょうど登山で、前半頑張って、後半景色を楽しみながらだだだっと降りていくような。
とても楽しかった。
最後の患者さんに日本人だと言ったら、地震と飛行機事故の話を知っていた。
ここでは珍しいと思ったらシアトルの近くに長年住んでいた人だった。なるほど。
4時に上がって、コープに寄って帰る。
夫は途中まで迎えにきてくれた。
今日も夕焼けがとてもきれい。
山盛りサラダを分けて食べて、冷凍のラザニアを焼く。
わたしには重すぎてひとくちだけ。
夜、テニスのドキュメンタリーを見た。
実際にオーストラリアオープンが始まっているので、この時期の公開はうまいなと思う。
去年のシーズンを追っていくのだけれど、すっかり忘れているのもおかしい。
こちらの夜中時間に国際司法裁判所で南アフリカがイスラエルを訴える。
祈るような気持ちで寝た。
